'I like to play with two strikers but I don’t want to say it' - Aubameyang
Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he prefers to play as part of a two-man front-line but has joked that he does not want coach Unai Emery to find out.
The Gabonese striker is his club’s top scorer this season, with 23 goals in all competitions, and netted the winner as a lone forward during the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Watford on Monday.
He has formed a fine partnership with Alexandre Lacazette and has conceded that he likes to have another striker to link up with.
“Everybody knows that I like to play with Laca because we have a great partnership,” he told Sky Sports.
“Sometimes one plays, the other is on the bench. It’s like that. You have to fight for the team.
“I think you know that I like to play with two strikers but I don’t want to say it because the coach will be maybe a bit angry.”
Aubameyang is currently preparing for Arsenal’s Europa League quarter-final second leg clash against Napoli.
