Sandro can't quite feed Sigurdsson but then gets a second chance and finds Rooney.
He gets down the line but his cross goes out.

Maglica continues to work hard and he's causing a few problems for Everton down Apollon's right.
They've certainly grew in confidence.

Apollon get another corner but it doesn't come to much. The Everton fans are then furious as the away team get away with a couple of foul throws.
Then a loose ball comes to Vasilou on the edge of the box, he hits a good volley but it goes wide.

That was tough on Pickford, he actually made a really good save to stop the first effort.
Everton are rattled and now Davies has given away a free-kick on the edge of the box.
Allan takes it but it's deflected behind.

GOAL! EVERTON 0-1 APOLLON (SARDINERO)
Oh Ashley Williams that is very poor. He tries to pass to Baines but under-hits it. Apollon pounce and the ball is squared and Sardinero, the man who equalised against Lyon, taps home after Pickford saves his first effort.

Nearly an assist from Pickford!
The Everton keeper smashes it long and it bounces over the defence. Rooney nearly gets on the end of it.

Everton dominated possession early on as you would expect.
They've had 65% of the ball but haven't done much with it, yet.

First chance of the evening for Apollon.
Vasilou swings the ball in from the left but Maglica sends his header over.

All the noise is coming from the away fans, who are determined to enjoy themselves.
This will be a good test for Everton to break down Apollon.

Plan for Apollon seems pretty simple tonight.
Sit deep, absorb pressure and try to catch Everton on the counter.
Not a great atmosphere so far.
2'
Everton knocking the ball about nicely in these opening stages. Making their opponents work hard for the ball.

And we're underway!
Kick-off is just five minutes away so send me your predictions!
It's interesting to see Rooney starting after his injury on the weekend.
Ronald Koeman has said that he thinks the team needs to win all of their home games to progress, the pressure will be on Rooney.

DON'T I KNOW YOU PART II?
And yes Liverpool fans that is your youngster Allan in the team, a terrific reason to tune in and check out how he's getting on.
DON'T I KNOW YOU?
That's right Sunderland fans that is Valentin Roberge in the Apollon line-up. He signed for the club in 2013 and lasted until 2016, making just ten league appearances.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not an expert when it comes to Apollon but it seems as if manager Sofronis Avgousti has sprung a few surprises.
Jander not starting at left-back is one of them as well midfielders Martinez and Alex missing out.
The suggestion seems to be that he's playing it defensive and hoping to snatch something late on.
APOLLON LIMASSOL TEAM
Bruno Vale, Joao Pedro, Yuste, Roberge, Vasilou, Allan, Sachetti, Alef, Jakolis, Maglica, Sardinero
EVERTON TEAM
It's a very strong Everton team with just three changes from the weekend.
Pickford; Kenny, Holgate, Williams, Baines; Gueye, Schneiderlin, Davies; Sigurdsson; Sandro, Rooney.
So Sandro comes in to replace Calvert-Lewin in attack, Kenny replaces Martina at right-back and Davies comes in for Klaassen in midfield.
