That was the last touch of the encounter as the referee blows for full time following Cisse's dramatic last gasp winner to reach the quarter final in Europe for the first time in eight years.

GOAL! Last attack of the encounter and it’s Cisse to head past Gabulov from a Marveaux cross.

Anzhi knock the ball around the Newcastle box well, but the hosts come away with possession and counter the Russian side.

Newcastle win a corner and Marveaux delivers. However, his cross is too close to Gabulov, who punches clear, and Anzhi hoof the ball away.

Miscommunication in the Newcastle defence and Shatov can put a low cross into the box, but his pass is behind Boussoufa and the hosts can clear.

Boussoufa clears the wall and strikes the bar. Almost a late winner for the 10 men of Anzhi.

Elliot knocks to the back post for Taylor, but the Newcastle defender is penalised for leaning with his elbow.

Zhirkov picks up a booking for a high boot on Marveaux around the halfway line.

Shatov wins possession and threads into Boussoufa, but his cross is cut out and Newcastle clear.

Newcastle win their first corner of the night following some poor Anzhi defending. Marveaux delivers and the ball finds its way back to Santon, who sees his effort blocked from the edge of the box.

Marveaux whips the ball into the back post, but it’s too close to Gabulov who punches clear.

Eto’o audaciously goes for goal from the tightest of angles after some poor Newcastle defending, but it’s a good height for Elliot who pushes the ball away from danger.

Tiote is again urged to shoot from distance. His effort is blocked and bounces towards Campbell, but the ball doesn’t quite set for the youngster to fire goalbound.

Cisse threads an outside of the boot pass to Sissoko on the left, but despite the Frenchman winning the ball back having been robbed of possession, the visitors hold firm and clear.

Santon does well to hurdle an Anzhi challenge and crosses to the near post, but only picks out Ewerton to head clear.

Tiote lofts the ball over the Anzhi defence looking for Cisse, but again the visitors hold firm and can clear.

Tiote comes close from distance as he powers a left footed drive just over the Anzhi bar from 25 yards out.
