Hello and welcome to Eurosport UK's minute-by-minute coverage Stoke's Europa League play-off second leg against Swiss side FC Thun.

The full time whistle goes and Stoke move into the group stages of the Europa League in what is their first ever venture into Europe.

Shawcross again gets first to the ball, this time in a race with Andrist in what has been a very solid performance from the Englishman.

Both teams are settling for this score, with Stoke easing off and Thun only half interested in getting forward.

Collins loses the ball, which eventually makes its way to Andrist, but his curling effort goes well wide of the far post.

Crucial touch from Collins as Wittwer - who has been good since he came on - beats his man to the byline and whips in a cross. A Thun attacker is lurking just behind Collins, but he does well.

Shotton attampts a Delap-like throw in, but he can get neither the distance or shape on the ball and Thun easily head clear.

Stoke are still pressing even when utterly comfortable in this match. Under pressure from Shotton Ghezal heads out for a throw.

Wilkinson with one of the worst shots anyone has ever witnessed, but he can be forgiven at this stage as his shot dribbles just out for a goal kick from long range.

Sanogo gets his head onto the inswinging corner and heads just wide from 10 yards, as they decide to actually try and create some chacnces in the last 10 minutes.

Wittver dances his way into the area, but Whitehead clears for a corner...

Luthi goes down in the box but the referee waves play on.

Wilkinson manages to slide tackle and cross in the same movement on the right byline, but the 'keeper meets it comfortably at the near post.

Stoke 4-1 FC Thun - Luthi's poor cross flicks off the foot of Shawcross and the ball makes its way to Wittwer our on the left hand side of the area about 10 yards from goal. He fires a left footed shot past Sorensen for a barely deserved consolation.

Thun are pushing and keeping a high line now, though it's a bit pointlessly late. Lezcano is fouled by Upson and he immediately makes way for fellow striker Rama.

'Delilah' is being sung by the Stoke faithful as their club move inexorably closer to the group stages of the Europa Cup.

GOAL! Stoke 4-0 FC Thun - Jones lays the ball off to Soares, who beats Reinmann easily as he hits the ball one way and runs round the other. He gets to the byline and clips a ball across the six yard line, where Jones waits to power the ball into the far corner of the net. Brilliant goal.

Lezcano, who's been Thun's best player tonight - and he's not been that good, drives into the box, but a lack of support and Stoke eventually win it back.

Jones with an attmepted bit of skill that Heskey wouldn't be proud of. He gets lucky and backheels to Wilkinson, who arcs in another good ball after getting to the byline, but there's no one there to put it in.

Wilkinson with a shimmy to beat the left back and a cross into the near post, which is met by Whitehead who can only head into the arms of Djukic. It was a difficult header though to be fair.

Double substitution: Demiri and Schneider make way for Hediger and Wittwer for FC Thun.
