Poland 0-3 Sweden AS IT HAPPENED: All the news from Women's Euro 2025 as Blackstenius, Asllani and Hurtig put Sweden through to knockout stages

Sweden claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Poland to reach the quarter-finals of Euro 2025.

Sweden looked dangerous from the outset in their Group C match as the chances came thick and fast.

Successfully isolating Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor, who was unable to pose any real threat for the tournament debutantes, the Poles struggled to make headway here.

Sweden could have scored with numerous chances before they struck in the 28th minute. It was Stina Blackstenius who broke the deadlock in the minute when she headed in Johanna Rytting Kaneryd's cross.

Another cross from Rytting Kaneryd led to a goal in the 52nd minute when captain Kosovare Asllani headed into the net.

Lina Hurtig sealed the deal for the four-time finalists when she headed a third goal 13 minutes from time.

Sweden now sit at the top of Group C on goal difference and play Germany on Sunday to decide who will finish the group stage on top.

With two wins, Sweden are now guaranteed passage to be in the quarter-finals. After two matches they sit at the top of Group C on goal difference. Germany will also progress, but the two must now settle who qualifies at the top of the group in a showdown between the pair on Saturday.

Sweden beat Poland 3-0 to progress to the knockout stages of the tournament.

An extra four minutes to play here and Poland will be happy for it to be over, I'm sure.

A yellow card for Szymczak who mows down Hurtig to concede a free-kick in a dangerous position and a yellow card for good measure. It was a bad challenge, but the way Hurtig just had her teammate by the scruff of her neck and the scoreline - you can perhaps understand why tensions are running high.

Kokosz fires at the goal and Bennison intervenes to send it wide for a corner. Falk puts paid to any chance of goal for Poland as she comes out to catch the ball.

Sweden will make another substitution now, Blackstenius is off and Wangerheim replaces her.

Sweden have absolutely owned Poland tonight, no question. They could have scored more from the number of chances they've had, but they've done enough and certainly look much improved from their opening fixture. Poland seem to have done the opposite.

What a miserable night for these guys. A double substitution now as Zawistowska replaces Tomasiak and Kokosz comes on for Achcińska.

Sweden's corner is whipped into the box and Hurtig jumps up to get her head on it at fire it into the goal.

The Swedes have successfully kept Pajor pretty isolated tonight, obviously knowing that she's the one Poland will have been counting on. It's been a frustrating match for her, I'm sure.

A couple of substitutions for Sweden now as Lina Hurtig replaces captain Kosovare Asllani who is on a yellow card.

Meanwhile Hanna Bennison replaces Julia Zigiotti Olme.

Julia Zigiotti Olme thinks she's scored a third for Sweden, but Szemik was barged to the floor as she went to save, so the goal will not stand.

Oliwia Wos slides in to block Blackstenius who is running at pace towards the goal between the two Polish centre-backs.

That's probably Poland's fate sealed as Asllani heads the ball in the net from Rytting Kaneryd's cross.
