GRAHAM HANSEN STRIKES LATE AS NORWAY SINK BATTLING FINLAND IN SION
Caroline Graham Hansen struck late on as former world champions Norway moved to the brink of a Women's Euro 2025 quarter-final spot courtesy of a fortunate 2-1 win over plucky Finland in Sion.
Graham Hansen saw a cross end up drifting into the net at Stade de Tourbillon on Sunday via a post on 84 minutes to give Norway a three points they barely deserved following their 2-1 win over host nation Switzerland in their opening Group A match.
Gemma Grainger's side will go through to the last eight as group winners if Iceland fail to beat the Swiss later on Sunday evening.
Norway moved ahead with their first attack of the evening when Eva Nystrom turned the ball into her own net for an own goal on three minutes before Finland recovered strongly and deservedly equalised when Oona Sevenius slammed a finish high into the net on 32 minutes.
With both sides hitting the woodwork in either half, Finland, who defeated Iceland 1-0 in their opening match, continued to impress and sensed their first win over Norway since 1988 could be on the cards until the late killer blow from Graham Hansen shattered their dreams.
They will need to regroup knowing a victory over Switzerland on Thursday night will be enough to seal their place in the last eight.
It is the first time Norway have won their first two matches at a major finals since the 1999 FIFA World Cup.

THERE GOES THE FINAL WHISTLE!
Norway take a massive step towards the quarter-finals. So fortunate to claim the three points, but another 2-1 win over Finland after their opening 2-1 victory over Switzerland. Job done in the end.

A LATE CHANGE FOR NORWAY..
Karina Sævik replaces Ada Hegerberg as they look to run down the clock in Sion. Almost over the winning line.

HEADING FOR FOUR ADDED MINUTES
All or nothing now for Finland, who must wonder how they are behind in Sion. Have certainly enjoyed the better moments in this match. But it is a hoary old tale in football. This is what happens when you don't take those chances.

MORE CHANGES BEING MADE HERE
Celin Bizet replaces Caroline Graham Hansen for Norway and Anni Hartikainen takes over from Oona Sevenius for Finland.

WAS IT A CROSS OR DID GRAHAM HANSEN MEAN IT?
Certainly looked to be a cross, but just caught it right on the sweet spot from her point of view. Nothing really Anna Koivunen could do as ball floated over her head to drop into the net via the post.

GOAL! (GRAHAM HANSEN) NORWAY 2-1 FINLAND
Caroline Graham Hansen could have saved Norway's bacon late on. Have not been the better side tonight, but brilliant piece of dribbling before her cross to the back post ends up hitting off the post and dropping into the net. So harsh on Finland.

GOLDEN CHANCE FOR NORWAY TO WIN IT!
Well, will the favourites get a better chance than that? A get of jail card right there and then, but Caroline Graham Hansen scoops a finish wide and high of goal when it looked easier to hit target. Should have at least worked the goalie.

FINLAND ALMOST PUNISHED FOR LOOSE PLAY!
Trying to play it out from the back and almost play themselves into trouble, but the overhead kick by Guro Reiten is nudged over bar by Anna Koivunen in goal. Very good stop.

A CORNER FOR NORWAY COMES TO NOTHING
Another floaty sort of ball from the comer carries hope rather than any menace and Thea Bjelde ends up hammering a shot into the stands behind the goal.

WILL THIS BE FIRST DRAW OF EURO 2025?
Nine matches down, but this would be the first draw of this summer's event. Unless we have late, late drama.

NORWAY PRESSING GAME HAS BEEN PATCHY
That is perhaps being kind. If the orders have been standing off Finland in key areas, well the brief has been well followed. A draw would flatter them this evening in Sion.

FINLAND OPTING TO FRESHEN MATTERS UP
A goal at either end will win this match you suspect. At the moment, you also suspect it might come from Finland. Jutta Rantala replaces Linda Sällström, and Nea Lehtola is on for Emma Koivisto.

AND STILL THE FINLAND CHANCES KEEP COMING!
Norway getting passed out of this match here as Sevenius has another opportunity, but dangerous shot deflects wide of the goal. Natalia Kuikka then nods wide from a corner.

FRANTIC DEFENDING IN THE NORWAY DEFENCE
The team in the red shirts are suddenly toiling and then some out there. A bit brighter at start of second half, but Finland are on top no question. Linda Sällström with the cross, but no takers on hand to convert.

WOODWORK SAVES NORWAY FROM TRAILING!
Eveliina Summanen with a lovely curling shot from outside the box, but the shot comes back off the post with Fiskerstrand beaten down to her right. How fortunate is that? Norway living on the edge.

AND THE CHANGE IS MADE FOR FINLAND
Sanni Franssi replaces Ria Öling for a Finnish side searching for the perfect finish.

FINLAND SET TO MAKE THEIR FIRST CHANGE OF EVENING
Not a night of beating sunshine in Sion, but looks a typically balmy summer's night in Switzerland. Coach Marko Saloranta must sense three points are there to be won this evening.

FINLAND ALMOST MOVE AHEAD!
Turnover works well for Finland as they scamper up the park. Katariina Kosola unloads a shot at goal from distance, but Fiskerstrand is well-placed on her line to make the diving stop low to her right. Sound piece of goalkeeping.
