XHEMAILI STOPPAGE-TIME STRIKE SEES SWITZERLAND SCRAPE INTO QUARTER-FINALS
Switzerland scraped through to the quarter-finals of the Women's Euros, as Riola Xhemaili's stoppage-time equaliser snatched a 1-1 draw with Finland.
The tournament hosts were in danger of elimination from Group A, as Natalia Kuikka's 79th-minute penalty put Finland ahead in the winner-take-all clash at Stade de Geneve.
However, substitute Xhemaili struck 13 minutes later to secure the point Switzerland needed to progress to the last eight, where they will play the winners of Group B.
It was a game of few opportunities between the sides locked on three points behind Group A winners Norway.
The contest did not burst into life until the 77th minute when Viola Calligaris' needless lunge on Emma Koivisto presented the opportunity to Kuikka, who calmly rolled the ball past Livia Peng from 12 yards out.
However, Switzerland dusted themselves down and their persistence was eventually rewarded with a crucial equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time.
As Finland dropped ever deeper, Geraldine Reuteler's low drive was helped into the net by Xhemaili, preventing the hosts from getting kicked out of their own party.

SWITZERLAND SCRAPE THROUGH THANKS TO XHEMAILI
Switzerland had never progressed to the quarter-finals of the Women's Euro.
It looked like the wait would go on when Kuikka calmly tucked away from the penalty spot 11 minutes from time, following Calligaris' needless lunge.
Finland, themselves, had not been to the knockout stages since 2009, and they dropped deeper as the clock ticked down in a desperate bid to hold onto their lead.
However, it proved crucial in the second minute of stoppage time, when Reuteler's low drive was helped in by the alert Xhemaili.
It was enough to give the hosts the point they needed to book their place in the quarter-finals, where they will play the Group B winners on July 18.

GOAL!!! FINLAND 1-0 SWITZERLAND (KUIKKA)
As calm as you like from the veteran defender!
Kuikka is made to wait a long time before the referee eventually blows her whistle.
But, despite the delay, she calmly slots the ball down the centre of the goal, as Peng dives out of the way.
As things stand, they will go through!

PENALTY TO FINLAND
Finland go on the attack, though Switzerland appear to have them contained.
Therefore, it seems incredulous when Calligaris rashly goes in on Emma Koivisto, who she subsequently catches late.
The referee cannot point to the spot quickly enough, and the home fans are stunned.
