Lens surges beyond Miroshnichenko on the left and the defender is lucky not to go in the book as he hauls the winger down. Free kick to Holland... Sneijder clips it into the area but once more there is no-one near Mokin as he comes and gathers under no pressure.

Sneijder teases a cross towards van der Wiel but he can't quite grow enough to make any connection.

The pattern continues with the Dutch probing but the visitors are keeping them at bay so far.

Brilliant from van der Wiel as he exchanges a one-two with Robben and sizzles a low cross towards RVP. The United striker can't divert it home and then Lens side foots well wide of the near post after arriving late on the left of the area.

More Dutch pressure 30-40 yards out. They are really struggling to find a breach in the Kazakhstan defence.

Sneijder clips it towards RVP but Abdulin just rises enough to nod it away. He's had a half to remember. Can he lead his side to a half time lead?

Lens whips it into the near post but RVP can't get there. It comes just seconds after Lens appeared to be pulled down in the area.

Sneijder shoots... good block. The game is being played 35 yards away from the visitors' goal.

Expect more of this if Holland fail to make their possession count.
