Sterling can't keep a clipped John Stones pass in play, and Ukraine have a throw on halfway.
Excellent interception and driving run to follow from Walker, and he wins a throw deep in opposition territory with a blocked cross.
Here's a Ukraine break... Yarmolenko drifts wide right, takes it to the byline faced by Luke Shaw, but his skewed cross is easily cleared by Maguire.
More composed possession play from England. Rice and Phillips are staying collected in the middle of midfield; keeping the game's tempo ticking over as Ukraine are forced to come out of their defensive shell and press the Three Lions.
Free kick, Ukraine. Sterling fells Kavamaev, and Shaparenko is over the set piece, but England nervously are able to clear. Another wave of Ukrainian pressure arises.
England are up for this. They're in their opposition's faces, Shaw is pressuring Kavamaev high, and the Ukrainians are still to bed themselves into the game.
GOAL! The perfect start! Sterling darts inside off the left and slides a wonderful reversed ball into Kane, who finishes with aplomb!
