Well, what an end to an otherwise turgid match. Quaresma's last gasp goal won it for Croatia, but in truth neither side really deserved to win this one. This was comfortably the worst match of the tournament so far. But nonetheless, it's Ronaldo and co. who go marching on.
FULL TIME AET! Croatia 0-1 Portugal. PORTUGAL ARE INTO THE QUARTER-FINALS! They will face Poland.
THAT WAS THE CHANCE! Croatia have the goalkeeper up and everything for one last cross into the box, Vida connects on the volley but the ball flashes wide of the far post.
Can Croatia create one last chance to equalise? Pjaca tries his best to dribble through the Portuguese defence. He could have gone down under a push, but he stays up and can only win the corner.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Croatia 0 Portugal 1 (118 mins - Ricardo Quaresma). Surely that will be the winner? Nani's shot finds its way to Ronaldo, who forces a save from Subasic. But Quaresma is on hand to head home from about a yard out.

OFF THE POST! That's the closest we have come to a goal by a million miles. Perisic was at the back post to get on the end of a cross, but his header comes rattling back off the post.
PERISIC GOT IN BEHIND! The winger found some space in behind the Portuguese backline, but his cross to the back post couldn't quite find Kalinic and the chance is gone.
The introduction of Pjaca seems to have made a difference for Croatia. He has given them an attacking outlet down the wing and he is getting crosses into the penalty area.
All of a sudden this game bursts into a little bit of life, with both sides mounting attacks at either end of the pitch. But there remains no breakthrough and the momentum is gone.
CROATIA CHANCE! That was the closest we have come to a shot on target. Vida leaped highed to meet a cross, with Patricio caught underneath it, but he couldn't find the gaping net.
NANI ATTEMPTS AN OVERHEAD KICK! That was the most exciting thing to have happened in this match in a long time. He tried an overhead kick at the back post but failed to make a connection.
That's a slightly surprising change from Croatia. Rakitic has been brought off, even though the Barcelona midfielder would have surely taken a penalty in the shootout. Strange.
Croatia sub: Ivan Rakitic OFF, Marko Pjaca ON.

Ronaldo has hardly had a touch of the ball over the 110 minutes. Portugal just haven't found a way to get him involved. I don't think I've ever seen him be so quiet for so long.
Portugal have made another change and it looks like Santos might be shutting up shop before the penalty shootout. They will take their chances from 12 yards, it would seem.
The second half of extra time is under way! It's still goalless between Croatia and Porzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
HALF TIME IN ET: Croatia 0-0 Portugal. Please can this end already?
Once again the delivery into the area was poor. For once Modric created some space for himself on the edge of the box, but his cross was too deep and Perisic couldn't get his effort on target as a result.
