Ireland, known for deadly set-pieces, win a free-kick and it's sent into the penalty area. Clark rises highest but is unable to direct his header goalwards.

Just over half an hour played now and we're yet to see a break-through. Belgium are in complete control but haven't really carved out a clear cut chance.

WIDE! De Bruyne, who is absolutely running the show at the moment, picks out Meunier in space on the right, but the full-back's shot is ambitious and always going wide.

Belgium come forward once more with De Bruyne carrying possession forward in a central position, he has time to unload but his shot is well saved and gathered by Randolph.

Again, Hoolahan finds space in a central position but he hesitates and allows Dembele to recover possession for Belgium.

Their side may be second best in this contest, but the Ireland fans are making the most noise at the moment.

Marc Wilmots will be thoroughly pleased with how his Belgium side have started this contest.

GOAL RULED OUT! De Bruyne picks out Carrasco with a delightful through ball, the forward sees his effort strike the crossbar before tapping the rebound into the net. However, the linesman has his flag raised. Offside.

The space opens up for Hoolahan on the edge of the penalty area, but he delays the shot and allows Alderweireld to make the tackle.

CHANCE! A real let off for Ireland as Hazard sends a half volley over the bar from inside the penalty area. He should really hit the target from that kind of range.

Now Belguim win a corner, De Bruyne to take... but it's played too deep and Ireland survive.

This time the ball is played too close to Courtois who collects and tries to launch a counter attack but Ireland are alert to the danger.

Brady wins the header, it's looping over the head of the goalkeeper but hits the roof of the net. The referee has awarded another corner.
