What a performance from Barcelona. This was expected to be something of a test for Valverde's men, but they completely blew away a Celta Vigo team who had no answer to their brilliance. The win was built on the relationship and understanding between Alba and Messi. Superb.

Rakitic has come in for some criticism from some Barcelona fans this season, but there's no doubting his quality. That was a well-placed header from the Croatian. Clinical.

CHANCE FOR RAKITIC! Dembele bursts to the byline and squares a pass to the near post, where Rakitic was making a run. But the Croatian midfielder's flick towards goal was blocked.

The away side haven't really done themselves justice this evening. Celta Vigo are much better than they have shown. They have the capacity to cause Barca problems, like they did last week.

This match died as a contest when Alba scored Barcelona's third of the night in the second half. At that moment, it was obvious that Celta Vigo weren't going to fight back.

It's interesting that the home fans inside the Camp Nou are now chanting Valverde's name. He had a lot of critics when he took the Barca job, but he is proving them wrong, that's for sure.

While we were away, Suarez tried his luck from just inside his own half, shooting just wide while Sergio was scrambling to get back. And Arnaiz had an effort hit the side netting.

PENALTY CLAIM! Suarez takes down a cross and goes to ground under the challenge of a Celta Vigo defender. He wants a spot kick, but the referee just lets him lie there on the turf.

DEMBELE GOES HIMSELF! The young Frenchman drives forward on his own. He had options to his left, but he decided to take the shot on himself. His effort is blocked in the end.

It's worth noting just how well Valverde has equipped himself at Barcelona since being appointed in the summer. He came into a hot mess of a club and now they are top of the league and into the Copa quarters.

OVER THE BAR! The ball was played into the Celta Vigo penalty area from the right wing, with Suarez getting on the end of the delivery. But the striker puts his volley well over.

Gomes will get 90 minutes this evening, which is unusual. That's surely only happened a handful of times since he joined Barcelona in the summer of 2016. Taking his opportunity.

The tempo and intensity has been sucked out of this game in the past 10 minutes. Much of that is down to the scoreline, but the changes from both sides haven't helped either.
