CLINICAL DURAN DOUBLE ROARS CELTIC TO 3-0 LEAD
Celtic have one foot in the UEFA Champions League league phase after recording a ruthless 3-0 home victory over LASK in the all-important first leg of their play-off tie.
Inspired by a brilliant brace from summer signing Camilo Duran, the Bhoys survived an early scare to run riot in front of a raucous Celtic Park.
LASK had two goals disallowed on the night, including a remarkable cross-goal half-volley from Moses Usor just 30 seconds in. But the hosts steadied the ship and set sail toward a memorable victory.
Benjamin Nygren broke the deadlock for Celtic on 26 minutes with what would have been the highlight moment in most games, but not in this one.
It was a terrific finish from the Swede, who struck first-time from just outside the area, whipping the ball into the top right corner.
But even that stunner was no match for Duran’s 38th-minute scorcher, a 25-yard volley of the highest calibre to send Parkhead into pandemonium.
LASK had their fair share of chances, including a clinical Samuel Adeniran header disallowed for offside, but Celtic were on a mission to build their advantage further.
That’s exactly what Martin O’Neill’s side did as new fan favourite Duran scored his second of the night on 67 minutes with another stunner – a curler into the top left after a tidy lay-off from Nygren.
O’Neill stressed in his post-match TNT Sports interview that his side must guard against complacency, but Celtic did brilliantly to condemn LASK to only their third defeat in 32 matches.

Looking sharp, Sebastian Tounekti sees a driven effort deflected into the near side netting.
The Celtic no.17 swings in the resultant corner and wins another shortly afterward.
Neither set-piece comes to anything, however Celtic are able to wind down the clock somewhat.

    MCGREGOR SHOT SAVED
Celtic are denied a fourth as captain McGregor's powerful shot is clutched gratefully to Jungwirth's chest.
That had some nasty movement on it, so the LASK goalkeeper did well to catch it.

    FAN FAVOURITE ALREADY
Duran is serenaded by the sold-out Parkhead crowd, and rightly so.
There are two popular ways to become a fan favourite at Celtic: score against Rangers or net on a big European night.
Duran has done the latter, twice.
He's also shown a tremendous defensive work rate.

    GOAL!! CELTIC 3-0 LASK (DURAN)
Celtic have three and it's another scorcher from Camilo Duran!
Nygren links up brilliantly with Duran, setting the ball back to the Colombian on the edge of the area.
It's then a wonderful curled strike into the top left corner.
Jungwirth got a glove on it but there was no stopping Duran from netting his second of the game.
