Kylian Mbappe 'the most dangerous player on the planet' who could 'carry PSG to Champions League glory' - Michael Owen

Kylian Mbappe showed his worth yet again as his two goals fired Paris Saint-Germain into the quarter-finals of the Champions League. TNT Sports expert Michael Owen described Mbappe as "probably the most dangerous player on the planet at the moment" while Glenn Hoddle said he is "not anywhere near his peak yet" and a move to Real Madrid would be a "match made in heaven".

Highlights: Mbappe shines as PSG cruise past Real Sociedad into quarters

Michael Owen believes Kylian Mbappe is the “most dangerous player on the planet at the moment” and the “one man that could carry” Paris Saint-Germain to Champions League glory.
Mbappe, who is set to leave PSG in the summer, scored twice as PSG reached the quarter-finals with a 4-1 aggregate win over Real Sociedad.
He now has 41 goal contributions in all competitions this season, tied with Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane for the most in Europe’s top five leagues.
His latest two-goal performance against Sociedad left TNT Sports expert Owen waxing lyrical about him.
“To win a Champions League you need some special players in your team,” said Owen.
“Paris Saint-Germain probably don’t have enough of them to win it this season but if there is one man that could carry them to victory it’s this guy. Probably the most dangerous player on the planet at the moment.
“He has absolutely everything, pace, skills, he scores bundles of goals, and he can singlehandedly take a game away from the opposition.”
But Mbappe started against Sociedad and will be a key player if PSG are going to progress further in the Champions League.
“You can leave him out all you like if you want to bite your nose off to spite your face, but you are not going to last long in this competition if you do,” added Owen.
“I was so impressed [with his first goal] from a standing start the way he can explode into life, then fake to shoot, then he stops still again, then explodes again, then smacks it.
“Normal people can’t score goals like that, it’s an incredible goal.”
Mbappe is reportedly set to join Real Madrid in the summer after leaving PSG.

TNT Sports expert Glenn Hoddle thinks that is a “match made in heaven” as Mbappe will add his goalscoring talents to a star-studded attack.
“As long as he has the right people around him and keeps his feet on the floor, he’s not anywhere near his peak yet. He has his peak to go into,” said Hoddle.
“He will have even better players around him. It’s like a glove, it fits.
“Real Madrid and Mbappe at this moment in time are a match made in heaven and it will be intriguing to see how he plays for them next year.”
