Jude Bellingham looks right at home at Real Madrid, but he has admitted that he still gets goosebumps when he thinks about playing at the Bernabeu. On Wednesday the 20-year-old scored his sixth goal in six games since joining the club, this one a 96th-minute winner against Union Berlin in his side's Champions League opener. Madrid's next European outing is away at Serie A champions Napoli.

'I’m so grateful to be at this club' - Match winner Bellingham reveals 'goosebumps' playing for Real

Jude Bellingham admits that he still gets goosebumps thinking about playing for Real Madrid in the Champions League after he scored an injury-time winner.
On Wednesday the 20-year-old midfielder scored a 96th-minute winner as Madrid won their opening Champions League game of the season against Union Berlin 1-0.
Bellingham’s strike – a tap-in from a few yards out following a fortuitous deflection – sparked delirious celebrations inside the Santiago Bernabeu.
The England international – who Los Blancos signed from Borussia Dortmund for £88.5 million over the summer – has now scored six goals in his first six appearances for the club.
“More. More,” Bellingham replied when asked after the game whether playing for Real Madrid at the Bernabeu has proved as special as he expected.
“I’ve got goosebumps talking about it now. I’m so grateful to be at this club. I talk about the players and the staff and the mentality they have, the quality they have.
“But then there’s the flip side of it with the fans. As you arrive at the stadium they’re flocking, thousands outside just to get a glimpse of the [team] bus. At the game, they’re there before the warm-up.
“You don’t really understand how big this club is until you play for them, and I’ve got that honour now, I’ll always wear it [the shirt] with pride.”

Highlights: Bellingham the hero for Real again with late winner against Union Berlin

Bellingham’s goal was not his first late strike this season. Earlier this month he scored a 95th-minute winner in La Liga to clinch Carlo Ancelotti’s side a 2-1 win against Getafe.
Snatching victories late on is in Madrid’s DNA, and it’s something that the youngster is already adapting to.
“I’m not going to lie, I’d rather keep scoring in the 90-plus [minute] than the 15th, even though it might take a bit of strain off my heart and the fans’ hearts,” Bellingham said of his late goals habit.
“That’s the history of the club. I’m new to the club but I’ve had a TV since I was little. I can’t remember [from] what age I’ve been watching Madrid complete comebacks, where I’m thinking there’s no chance and it’s not possible.
“When you're around those players every day who have been part of these triumphs in the past, you just pick it up and it rubs off on you. And I think if you don’t have it then they sniff it out of you.”
Real Madrid’s next Champions League outing is away at Napoli on Tuesday, October 3.
