Guardiola 'emotionally destroyed' after City win over Bayern

Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane has been dropped and fined after reportedly punching team-mate Leroy Sane in the face following the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Sane started the quarter-final first leg while Mane was brought on as a second-half substitute - and it appears that tensions boiled over after the full-time whistle.
Bild, Sky Germany and Sport1 all reported that the Senegal international punched the Germany winger in the face in the Bayern dressing room, with the club releasing a statement on Wednesday, albeit only citing "misconduct".
"Sadio Mane, 31, will not be in the Bayern squad for the home game against 1899 Hoffenheim next Saturday," read a statement.
"The reason is misconduct by Mane after Bayern's Champions League game at Manchester City. In addition, Mane will receive a fine."
Mane's anger was reported to be triggered by a moment in the 83rd minute of the match at the Etihad Stadium.
Sane was seemingly unhappy with Mane because he did not offer himself as a passing option, instead waiting for a through ball. As a result, both players began a verbal argument on the pitch.
The 31-year-old then reportedly gave Sane a bloody lip in the Bayern dressing room after the game and the two players had to be separated by their team-mates.
Mane joined Bayern from Liverpool last summer while Sane signed from Manchester City in 2020.
Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel did not mention any exchange between Mane and Sane in the dressing room after the match, but instead said he "fell in love" with his team despite the 3-0 defeat.
"Of course, the result is bitter for us," he told reporters.
"I fell in love with my team a little today, the way they performed. Even if it sounds strange, that was a lot of fun."
Bayern struggled to contain the Premier League champions who comfortably won the game thanks to goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland.
The second leg of the quarter-final takes place at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, April 19.
