INTER LOOKING FOR DISTRACTION FROM DOMESTIC STRUGGLES
Despite digging out a narrow 2-1 win against Sassuolo at the weekend, Inter are still badly underperforming in Serie A. Simone Inzaghi's side are currently seventh in the table, with two wins and three defeats from their last five games.
For a team which won the league two seasons ago – and was widely expected to do the same last term before AC Milan overhauled them – it's a serious slump. The Champions League has been a welcome distraction and a win this evening would feel absolutely priceless.

BARCA FEEL THE HEAT
They may be sitting atop La Liga, but Barcelona have been underwhelming in Europe so far this season. After thrashing Viktoria Plzen 5-1 in their Group C opener, they have since lost to Bayern and Inter without scoring another goal.
Third in the group and three points behind Inter after three games, defeat this evening would cut short Barca's Champions League campaign given Inter's advantage on head-to-head. Having invested so heavily (and riskily) in their squad, that would be a profound disappointment which could have far-reaching implications.

BARCELONA'S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE HOPES HANG IN THE BALANCE
Good evening and welcome to our coverage of Barcelona's meeting with Inter at Camp Nou. Having lost their last two Champions League matches – to Inter at San Siro and Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena – Barca need a win here or they will be in serious danger of going out at the group stage.
