TWO CHANGES FOR CELTIC
Postecoglou has made a couple of tweaks to the side which beat Rangers 4-0 at the weekend, with Kyogo Furuhashi replaced by Giorgos Giakoumakis after being forced off early in that match and Carl Starfelt, who picked up a knee injury, swapping out for Moritz Jenz.

REAL IN OMINOUS FORM
Having won their first four La Liga fixtures on the bounce as well as the UEFA Super Cup, Carlo Ancelotti's side arrive in Glasgow with serious momentum behind them. They are not infallible, however, having failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their league wins thus far.

POSTECOGLOU CALLS ON CELTIC TO PUSH THEIR LIMITS
Speaking ahead of the match, Ange Postecoglou, the Celtic manager, has made it clear that he has no intention of abandoning the expansive, attacking football that has defined his tenure at Parkhead in an effort to contain Real.
"There's no point playing football a certain way," he said. "But when you get an opportunity to measure it against the very best, you shy away from it and kind of go: 'You know what, let's just try to limit any sort of damage.' That's not really a test because you don't know. You could go out there and limit the damage and you might get a win playing a different way, but have you really tested yourself? I don't think you have.
"When I say test ourselves, that's what I mean: we go out there being the football team we have been to this point. Then you have got a real measure of where we are at. If we are short of where we need to be, then we go back, dust ourselves off and get a bit closer next time. I have always taken these games as an opportunity to really stamp your own identity on a game and see where it takes you."

IT DOESN'T GET ANY TOUGHER THAN THIS
Good evening and welcome to our coverage of Celtic's Champions League group-stage opener against Real Madrid. This is the Hoops' first Champions League group fixture in five years but, given that they are facing the holders, they couldn't have asked for a more difficult start.
