Sporting CP are winless in their last seven away games against English opposition in European competition (D2 L5), with their last such victory coming against Middlesbrough in the 2004-05 UEFA Cup (3-2). Overall, Sporting CP have only kept one clean sheet in 14 away games at English sides in European competition (0-0 v Arsenal in November 2018).

Fernandinho will make his 100th appearance in the Champions League tonight, his 69th in the competition for City.

It's ironic that Pep Guardiola has been bemoaning the fact that he is short on right-backs this evening - hence the inclusion of Egan-Riley - as Porro is indeed a right-back but has yet to play a single game for the Premier League champions.

In fact, Porro has yet to even meet Guardiola, the 22-year-old told The Times in an interview this week.

Pedro Porro, who is on loan at Sporting from City, makes his first appearance at the Etihad.

Manager Ruben Amorim makes four changes to the side that suffered the heavy defeat in the first leg, but it's still a strong team considering this tie is all but over already.

In the absence of Joao Cancelo and Kyle Walker, CJ Egan-Riley comes in for his Champions League debut. He is one of six changes to the City side that defeated Manchester United on Sunday.

Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fernandinho also feature from the off.
