Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of Manchester United's Champions League clash with Valencia from Old Trafford. It cannot get any worse for Jose Mourinho and his beleaguered side, can it? Domestically, United have got off to their worst start to a season in 29 years, but managed a 3-0 victory over Young Boys Bern in their Champions League opener two weeks ago. Valencia have not started the season well either, but got up and running with a first win of the season at the weekend - great preparation to pile yet more misery on Mourinho. I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!

FT: Manchester United 0-0 Valencia. The boos ring out at Old Trafford after another poor showing from United, as the pressure mounts on Mourinho. The hosts offered next to nothing in attack, with Valencia having the better of much of the encounter. United have not won at home in any competition for almost two months. Thanks for joining us. Goodnight.
Kondogbia earns himself a yellow for a foul on Matic. Now or never from this free kick...
Three minutes of added time here. Mourinho is on the touchline, cheering his team on.
CHANCE! Minutes after earning himself a yellow card, Lukaku is picked out by Shaw from a corner, but heads over the top. Had to do better as he was unmarked.
WOODWORK! As close as United have come. From the resulting free kick after Martial was upended, Rashford fires for goal from the tightest of angles, with tremendous power, but the ball clips the top of the crossbar and flies over.
Martial shows great skill to get past Piccini, who upends the United forward, to earn himself a yellow card.
Crucial header from Fellaini to head clear from underneath his own crossbar after Kondogbia had headed back across goal.
Final change for Valencia, with Denis Cheryshev - who scored four goals at the World Cup in the summer - replacing Guedes.
Another free kick for United in a dangerous position is wasted, as Lukaku fires straight into the wall.
Change for Valencia, with Carlos Soler replacing Coquelin.
Ironic cheers from the crowd as Sanchez makes his way off the pitch to be replaced by Anthony Martial. Another non-existent performance from Sanchez.
How times have changed...
SAVE! Again Pogba delivers into the middle for Lukaku, who darts across his man, prods for goal, but Neto is out to block.
Change for Valencia, with France international Kevin Gameiro replacing Batshuayi.
Fellaini pulls the ball back for Sanchez in the six-yard box, but the Chilean takes a touch and is dispossessed. Surey he will be hooked soon?
SAVE! The best United have produced so far. Simple ball from Pogba over the top, Lukaku is onto it, he cuts onto his left foot, fires for goal, but Neto makes a smart stop.
Matic fires straight at Piccini. Poor, poor passing from United, still.
CHANCE! Probably the best chance of the game falls to Batshuayi after Piccini had got the better of Pogba far too easily before whipping a ball into the middle, which Guedes controlled for Batshuayi, but the man on loan from Chelsea blazed over.
Still so flat from United. Shaw is getting further forward now.
