A pretty good night's work for Ajax, who were by far the better team. They're not yet from safe - Kiev will surely play better at home - but it'd be a big surprise if they didn't do enough.

Ziyech hits the post! Terrible behaviour from Boyico, who gives the ball to him, and on the right of the box, he weaves inside, swivels, and when he might go across goal he tries for the near corner, whacking the base of the upright. This tie really should be over.

Change for Ajax: De Wit replaces Van de Beek.

There's not much going on now. Ajax are happy with what they've got, and Kiev don't have the means to improve what they've got.

It's not happeing for Hunterlaar, who is - as you'd expect - perfectly positioned, on the right of the box, when Shepeliev heads a way a corner. Immediately, he lashes a volley at goal, but this time, Boyico is solid and blocks.

Interesting: La Liga players have threatened to strike if the planned match in the US goes ahead. And rightly so. Come on, lads.

Tsyganov slips a pass outside him for Kedziora, who drills a low, menacing cross ... but De Ligt does just about enough, with no one immediately on-hand to finish.

Another change for Kiev: Tche replaces Sydorchuk, who's been anonymous.

Ah, I forgot to note that, thanks to that booking, Tagliafico will miss the second leg.

Decent cross from Ziyech, onto Huntelaar's prodigious forehead, and he smacks an effort goalwards ... which cannons the bar.

Kadar rattles through the back of Huntelaar, who goes down and has a little relax.

A long, searching crossfield ball sees Tsygankov running across Tagliafico, whose shins clip him. That looked fairly accidental, but the ref books him anyway; the free-kick comes to nothing.

In Budapest, AEK have now had a man sent-off, and Vidi have also pulled a goal back. Maybe it's not over after all.

Nice from Ajax, Ziyech wedging a pass over the top for Tadic, nipping across the box from the other side. His touch is good and he tees up Huntelaar, but the ball is slightly behind him so has to be taken from around the arse, so the shot flies over the near post.

This is much less fun than the first half.

Tsygankov goes down the right, taking Kedziora's pass and checking inside to cross.... and Buyalskiy meets it very well, sliding into a volley that looks destined for the bottom corner until De Ligt sticks out a leg to block. Peter Schmeichel would not be happy.

Verbic burrows down the left, but Mazraoui is strong as they hack at each other and the ball.

Van de Beek hares in off the left and plays the ball into Tadic who has his back to goal, but he can't quite collect the return as he bursts into the box.
