Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Liverpool’s Champions League Group E trip to Russia to take on Spartak Moscow. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been playing a dangerous game so far this season. Their attack has been as fluid as any, but they remain vulnerable at their core. Their 2-2 draw on their return to Europe’s elite competition last time out was a microcosm of their season in this way. Spartak Moscow also drew their first group-stage game, earning a 1-1 draw at Maribor, but they will be without key forward Quincy Promes, who sustained a calf injury in the 2-0 win over Kuban Krasnodar in the Russian Cup last week. Will Liverpool go all out for the win? Can their defence tighten up? I’m Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!

That's it. Another day, another Liverpool dominance that doesn't yield three points. How the Reds didn't find that winner only they will now. Chances came and went, but again profligacy proves costly. It is the final ball that is really lacking. Qualification for the knockout stages will be no easy task, now. Thanks for joining us. Full report and reaction to follow on site. Goodnight.

SAVE! This is getting ridiculous now. Super ball into the middle from Alexander-Arnold, Salah meets it, but heads straight at Selikhov, who throws out and arm to keep out the header.

CHAAAANCE! Liverpool only have themselves to blame for not winning this. Firmino had the simple task of squaring for Sturridge, but his pass is woefully underhit and Selikhov gathers.

Henderson does really well to get back and cover as Spartak tried to break. Maybe they do want to win this?

EIGHT minutes of added time here. Rebrov's injury is the cause.

CHANCE! Sturridge can't get the ball down quickly enough after Firmino's knockdown, and the ball runs out of play as he stretched to shoot from close range.

Great flicked pass into the path of Sturridge, but the flag is up as the England striker turned to shoot.

That's the end of the game for Popov, as he limps off, to be replaced by Paraguayan Lorenzo Melgarejo.

Another treble as Sevilla are home and dry...

CHANCE! Awful defending gifts Firmino a chance on the edge of the box, but he panics and lashes the ball over the top. Had time to pick his spot.

CLOSE! From the edge of the area, Alexander-Arnold lets fly on his left foot, but the ball whizzes just wide. Just lacked accuracy.

Sturridge tries to dance his way through, but is crowded out and the move breaks down.

Caution for Firmino after leaving a foot in on Eshchenko. Wing-back certainly made a meal of the challenge.

Another Liverpool change as Can is replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum.

Game really has slowed a great deal. You feel like it is very much next goal wins.

Finally, the cart comes on for Rebrov, and Alexander Selikhov comes on in his place.
