Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between Sevilla and Bayern Munich from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Manchester United's conquerors Sevilla almost inflicted a first La Liga defeat upon Barcelona at the weekend, and come into this full of confidence. A rejuvenated Bayern under the tutelage of Jupp Heynckes will take some beating though. I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live.

GOOOOOALLLLL! Sevilla 1-0 Bayern. Somewhat against the run of play, Sarabia makes amends for his earlier miss to break the deadlock.

Corner for Bayern is whipped in by Ribery, but Escudero climbs highest to head clear.

SHOT! Thiago has time to line one up on the edge of the box, but his fierce strike is straight at Soria.

Jesus Navas, from this unorthodox right-back position he has made his own, clips the ball forward for Steven N'Zonzi, but the move breaks down.

WHAT. A. CHANCE! Superb cross into the middle from Escudero is diverted into the path of Sarabia by Hummels, eight yards out, and with the goal at his mercy, Sarabia inexplicably side-foots wide!

Excellent pressure from Sevilla, high pressing up the pitch. Bayern can't get out of their half at the moment.

Getting very heated here. Ribery flies into the tackle just moments after Arturo Vidal had taken Ben Yedder. Franco Vazquez was Ribery's victim. Yellow for the former France international.
10'
Thomas Muller is the next player to have a go from distance, but that is always rising over the top.

Elsewhere, he has been at it again. Juventus 0-1 Real Madrid.
8'
All Bayern in the early stages. Franck Ribery has a strike for goal, but it is blocked behind for a corner.
6'
David Soria races from his line to clear. Big night for him replacing Sergio Rico in the Sevilla goal.
4'
Mats Hummells has the game's first attempt at goal, but the header from a corner is tame and always heading wide.
2'
Bayern with the early possession. Sevilla are trying to press high and force the issue, though.

Great atmosphere in the Sanchez Pizjuan as Sevilla get us under way here.

So here we go. Juup Heynckes has won his last 11 Champions League games as manager, the longest ever run in the history of the competition, and has tasted defeat just twice since return to Bavaria for a second spell as manager. Sevilla are the unpredictable element to this encounter - they could just as easily get steamrolled, as they could cause Bayern plenty of problems. Excitement awaits!

Another lovely Andalusian evening...
