Monaco are currently three points above champions Paris St Germain in Ligue 1 and have scored more goals than anyone in Europe’s top five leagues this season! Leonardo Jardim's team also became the first side ever to advance through a knockout tie in the competition, having conceded a whopping six goals in the round-of-16 legs against Manchester City who they eventually beat on away goals.

Thomas Tuchel, Dortmund: "Monaco play at a very high tempo and, in addition to individual talent, they have a very strong team ethic.
"I think it's safe to say we won't have two 0-0 draws; both teams are too interested in scoring and pushing themselves to the limit."

Having gone unbeaten at home in 2016 and winning six of their seven home matches this calendar year, it is safe to say Dortmund hold a formidable home record. However, Thomas Tuchel's side is still reeling after being thrashed by Bayern Munich at the weekend and one has to wonder what that defeat may have done for the players' confidence.

Meanwhile the Ligue 1 leaders are severely depleted as they will have to do without key players Djibril Sidibe, Benjamin Mendy and Tiemoue Bakayoko. Radamel Falcao missed out in his side’s second-leg clash with Manchester City but the Colombian returns here to lead the attack and will hope to continue his rich scoring form of 25 goals in 33 matches.

As well as Marc Bartra, Dortmund are also missing creative midfielder Marco Reus. That is a blow but Thomas Tuchel's side have been boosted by the return of Julian Weigl, Shinji Kagawa and Lukasz Piszczek who all feature from the start. Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele partners Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - who has scored seven goals in the competition this season - in attack.

Good evening and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of the rearranged Champions League quarter final first-leg tie between Dortmund and Monaco.
Playing this match only 24 hours after three explosive devices went off by the Dortmund team bus isn't ideal but due to the tight schedule of both clubs, BVB chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke said tonight was the only option. And so we continue... Kick-off, 17:45 UK time.

And, sadly, on that note we will call it a night and hope you can join us for our live text commentary tomorrow evening.
