Leonid Slutski (CSKA): "We have a lot of information about our opponents; we have studied them. Pavel Horváth, the captain, is very good, and the team as a whole is strong and skilled. Much of our attacking play depends on how (Keisuke) Honda plays. In recent outings we have performed poorly, and Keisuke has to show leadership skills to take responsibility for a lot of action on the field, to lead the team with him."
Alan Dzagoev and Seydou Doumbia are both out of the match after suffering with hamstring injuries in recent weeks. Aleksandrs Cauna will not feature for the hosts after being ruled out until November with a fractured toe.
TEAM NEWS: Plzeň have made two changes to the side which lost to Manchester City in their opening group game. Roman Hubník and Radim Řezník come in for Lukáš Hejda and David Limberský, who is missing due to a thigh injury. CSKA's Rasmus Elm is making his first appearance in the tournament having returned from a calf injury.
