Ozil takes the ball into the left channel but runs out of space. Madrid regain possession and Khedira finds Higuain in the box before a Gala defender sticks a boot in to clear.
26'
This has been pretty one-sided so far. I can't think of a genuine chance for Gala.
25'
That really was a tremendous stop by Muslera.

MADRID GO CLOSE! Ronaldo releases Di Maria with a superb back-heel but the winger sees his goal-bound effort tipped over by a fine reaction save from Muslera.

Stat from Opta: "Galatasaray have struck the woodwork seven times, more than any other side in the Champions League this season. The ex-Real Madrid midfielder Hamit Altintop has been the most unfortunate (three shots against the woodwork)."
21'
Melo - always a liability - gives away a free-kick when charging into Coentrao but Madrid can't make anything significant of the set-piece.

Sneijder goes into the book for showing dissent after Eboue is penalised for a foul on Coentrao.
18'
Essien is knocked to ground by a sliding challenge from Melo and gets a slap on his bum from the Brazilian for good measure.
17'
The ball bounces to Mesut Ozil in space in the box but the Germany star is caught offside.
16'
Riera now tries to feed in a cross from the left but his delivery can't match Sneijder's and Essien blocks with his head. Now Melo only just fails to find the run of Sneijder into the box.

Great defending from Varane! The young France international makes an important intervention to clear from a wicked Sneijder cross from the right.
14'
I don't imagine this is going to be much of a spectacle as Madrid will be quite happy chugging along. To their credit, Gala still look dangerous.
13'
Hamit Altintop begins to dictate play in front of the Madrid box and pings a pass in for Bulut before sliding one wide to Drogba after getting it back. Drogba's cross is poor though.
12'
Raphael Varane prods Ronaldo into action with a neat pass right through the heart of the Gala midfield. The lay-off finds Modric and he brings Di Maria into the game with a gorgeous pass off the outside of his boot. Essien ruins a fine move with a terrible cross though.
11'
Stat from Opta: "Real Madrid have scored the most goals in the Champions League this season (22) and Cristiano Ronaldo is the top-scorer of the competition so far (10 goals)."
10'
Just to underline, as Madrid now have an away goal that leaves Galatasaray needing five to progress. No chance. This is conclusively a done deal.
9'
Ronaldo goes in search of a second and drills one in from long range. Muslera is equal to this one though.

GOAL! Galatasaray 0-1 Real Madrid (0-4)! That could well be that. Ronaldo bags his 10th in the competition this season as he sidefoots home on the volley from close range following a neat cut-back from Sami Khedira. The German midfielder had far too much space in the box.
7'
Loud whistles from the home side greet spells of Madrid possession. A cross comes in and the visitors win a corner when Higuain challenges in the air. Muslera punches the corner away.
6'
Here comes Emmanuel Eboue but the former Arsenal man slips just as he approaches the box. That's a waste.
5'
Luka Modric has looked lively early on and he wins a free-kick in the centre of the park for Madrid.
