Harry Kane scored his 24th league goal of the season as Bayern Munich beat their bogey side Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 at home.
Thomas Tuchel's side dominated the first half with Leroy Sane rattling the bar early on and then missing a glorious opportunity from close range.
Kane also went close with a free-kick which was well saved and four minutes later Gladbach took the lead through Nico Elvedi's first-time effort from inside the box.
The Bavarians' possession was eventually rewarded on the stroke of half-time when a slick passing move saw Thomas Muller set up Alexsandar Pavlovic to equalise from a tight angle.
Tuchel brought on new signing Sacha Boey and the hosts took the lead 20 minutes from time when Moritz Nicolas failed to punch the ball clear from a cross and Kane headed the ball over him into the net.
Matthijs de Ligt sealed victory late on after heading in Sane's free-kick off the underside of the bar.
The result sees Bayern remain two points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who beat Darmstadt 2-0.

TALKING POINT - Kane on the scoresheet again

What a debut season the England captain is having. He now has 24 goals in his first 20 Bundesliga games, the previous record for the 24th goal was the 25th Bundesliga game set by one Erling Haaland during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)

The evergreen 34-year-old came in for the injured Kingsley Coman and his link-up play was magnificent. His through balls set up chances for Sane and he assisted Pavlovic's goal. He may not be the goalscorer of old but Muller now has seven assists this season.
And he was involved in Bayern's second goal, jumping for a header with the 'keeper which led to Kane's goal.
