Half an hour till kick off.

Bayern will seek to hurt Leipzig in a balanced manner: both out wide and in the middle. That's how dangerous they are. Gnabry and Sane will look to rinse both of their opposing full-backs. and Thomas Muller will pick up the pockets to confuse the Leipzig defensive unit and infiltrate spaces he shouldn't be allowed in. Kimmich will orchestrate from deep, with Goretzka the box-to-box midfielder, adding the extra body in either the attacking or defensive phase.
16:50
Defensively for the home side, we can expect Lewandowski to occupy both centre-halves, although it should be Orban primarily marshalling the prolific Polish international. Simakan will use his recovery pace to cover the Hungarian, as well as picking up the late runs of Thomas Muller in the penalty area. Angelino and Mukiele will have their hands full with both Bayern wide men, but don't be surprised to see a switch in formation to a back three. Mukiele would then drop in to right centre-back, with Laimer sliding into right wing-back.
16:48
The visitors are as usual: Manuel Neuer is shielded by the back four of Benjamin Pavard who returns at right-back, alongside Dayot Upamecano in the middle, who returns to his old stomping ground. Lucas Hernandez is flanked by the electric Alphonso Davies on the left of the defensive quartet, with Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich the midfield generals in the engine room. Thomas Muller will continue to float in his number 10 hole, with Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry either side. Robert Lewandowski, of course, leads the line.
16:45
Die Roten Bullen are in a prospective 4-2-3-1 shape, matching up their visitors on paper. Nordi Mukiele and Angelino flank the centre-half pairing of Mo Simakan and Willi Orban, who are protected by Konrad Laimer and Kevin Kampl as the workhorse duo. Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai are wide of Dani Olmo, who sits behind the lone focal point of attack, Andre Silva.
16:45
Right. Let's dissect these teams, shall we?
