Kimmich could have won it for Bayern in the final seconds, but Gladbach hold on to earn a hard-fought draw against the Bundesliga champions. The season has got off to a brilliant start!
BIG CHANCE! That was the moment! A wonderful pass to the edge of the box from Coman finds Kimmich, but he fires his effort wide!
Gladbach are clinging on now as Bayern look to mount one last meaningful attack.
Coman's cross deflects into the arms of Sommer who can give his side a pause for breath.
Sarr's searching cross into the box is caught by Sommer, who has had a fantastic game in goal for the hosts.
FIVE minutes of added time at the end of this highly entertaining Bundesliga opener. We may even go as far as to say pulsating.
YELLOW! For Neuhaus for bringing down Musiala. SUB! Neuhaus comes off for Benes.

Both sides continue to press for a later winner and it's so open that it feels like one will come.
Gladbach's manager Hutter has been booked for his protests at the non-penalty.
NO PENALTY! Thuram looked to have been pulled down in the area by Upamecano but the referee is having none of it and feels the Frenchman dived. VAR was in agreement with the official and it's good refereeing from Marco Fritz.
Another good chance for Gladbach, Lainer's pass fails to find Stindl this time. We've gone to VAR though as Thuram claims he was pulled down in the box just before the ball was played in, but we play on. SUBS! Choupo-Moting is on for Muller and Sarr is on for Stanisic.

Neuhaus is down with cramp now but he should be fine to play on.
BIG CHANCE! The goal is gaping for Thuram, but he just cannot get a touch onto Lainer's deadly pass across the goalmouth! That could have been the decider!
SUBS! Nagelsmann wants goals. Coman and Musiala come on for Sane and Gnabry.

Kramer looks fine to continue and appeared to have cramp. WHAT A SAVE! Neuer makes a fine reflex save to get down low to his left and parry away a vicious strike from Stindl!
OUCH! Kramer is down in some pain on the pitch and Bayern immediately put the ball out of play. It looks to be a calf problem. Interestingly former Bayern boss Hansi Flick, now manager of the Germany national team, is watching on from the stands this evening.

Kimmich's corner finds Upamecano, but he glances his header wide. SUBS! For Gladbach, Hofmann is on for Herrmann while Thuram is on for Plea.

The holes are getting bigger in the Gladbach defence and Bayern just keep on pushing higher up the pitch. Sane's cross into the goalmouth deflects behind for a corner.
WHAT A SAVE! Davies surges down the left flank and cuts it back to Lewandowski. The striker gets a low well placed strike on goal but Sommer makes a phenomenal save with his right boot to send it out over his own crossbar for a corner! Heroic from Sommer!
