Schick plays in Bellarabi to his right, and the German then threads in Wirtz in the area, and the Leverkusen man has an easy tap in! What a frantic last couple of minutes!

Brandt delivers the free-kick in, and the ball comes off the top of the head of Jeremie Fringpong and into the net!

Initially it looked like it was a header scored by Thomas Meunier, but the replays show otherwise!

The Dortmund man looked a touch offside, so a VAR check delays the goal being given but eventually, the referee awards it.

Zagadou gives the ball away shockingly at the edge of his area. It puts Schick through on goal, but his shot is initially saved by Kobel. The ball then rebounds straight off Akanji and into the back of his own net!

A comedy goal!

Brandt and Demirbray have a clash when going for a 50/50, and the Dortmund man comes off worse as he takes a bad fall.

A handful of seconds later, Bakker takes a clip on his achilles and is in a bit of pain, but he eventually gets back up and is good to carry on.

Wirtz plays in a nice ball to his left to put in Andrich, but Akanji is there to make the challenge and Leverkusen have a corner.

Zagadou eventually heads it back out for a throw.

Leverkusen have been giving gifts to Dortmund in possession in the opening exchanges.

It had led to a couple of final third entries for the home side, but the final shot was lacking on each occasion.

Reus is the latest to have a chance, but the ball is pinched off him just outside the box.

Gerardo Seone's side occupy 3rd place in the Bundesliga, but are some way behind Dortmund in 2nd, with BVB five points ahead of them.

With the chasing pack looking very tight, Leverkusen will want to strengthen their grip on their current Champions League place. Die Werkself are also looking for their third win in a row.

Borussia Dortmund have won their last six meetings against Die Werkself at Signal Iduna Park, and are looking for their fourth league win in a row to once again close the gap to Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga.

Bayern secured a 3-2 win over RB Leipzig on Saturday to extend that gap to nine points.

Gerardo Seone makes two changes from their 5-1 thrashing of Augsburg, with Lukas Hredecky replaced in goal by Lennart Grill and Kerem Demibray getting the nod over Amine Adli in midfield.

Marco Rose makes three changes from Dortmund's 3-2 win over Hoffenheim before the international break, with Dan-Axel Zagadou, Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard coming into the starting line-up.

Gio Reyna returns to the bench following his recovery from injury, but Erling Haaland misses out due to a groin problem.
