Alaba is just sat next to Kimmich, helping him orchestrate proceedings from deep. Coman is indeed off the right, Musiala drifting slightly infield off the left.

Neatly worked by Monchengladbach, moving the ball switftly in a triangle consisting of Neuhaus, Lazaro and ending with a rash shot from Lainer, who blazes over.

GOAL! For goodness' sake. It's him, with arguably his first touch. The ball across falls to Robert Lewandowski, and one minute and 52 seconds in, we're off the mark. It's 37 in the league this season.

It seems to be a 4-4-2 for the visitors at the moment. Hofmann off the left, Lazaro on the right.

Early Bayern complacency, given away by Boateng, and Embolo's left-footed driven cross is gratefully gathered by Neuer.

Off we go.

The players are out, and here we go.
17:27
Three minutes.
17:19
Either way, they should be playing Europa League football should they keep their place in seventh: Leipzig and Dortmund will face off in the DFB Pokal, and the European spot from that competition is given to the seventh placed team due to the fact that both are guaranteed European competition next term from their league placings.
17:19
For Gladbach, a win would see them move to within a point of Bayer Leverkusen, who could only muster a draw with Werder Bremen. Gladbach need to make up the points on Bayer for a Europa League place through their league standing, but cannot mathematically make it into the top four.
17:15
15 minutes.
17:12
Despite the Norwegian's brilliance, Robert Lewandowski leads Erling Haaland by 11 goals in the top scorers' charts, on 36 goals. An unbelievable achievement.
17:00
Half an hour to kick off.
16:48
There could well be room for a formational switch-up should Marco Rose see fit: Bensebaini could slip in to make a third centre-half and flank Ginter, with the quicker Elvedi moving out to the right of the trio to deal with the balls into the channel behind the wing-back. That would then leave Lainer pushing forwards on the right, and Lazaro moving backwards and shifting across to the left, forming a 'midfield' quartet with Neuhaus and Zakaria sitting as before, with Hofmann just ahead of them. Thuram and Embolo would therefore become advanced forwards, seeking to stretch the home defence with their pace spinning in behind, drifting and dragging the centre-backs wide, into positions that they wouldn't usually want to go.
16:41
Monchengladbach, on the other hand, will look to use their pace on the counter attack: Marcus Thuram will likely start off the left, with Austrian loanee Valentino Lazaro off the right, flanking the Swiss Breel Embolo up top, but be prepared to see positional exchanges between Thuram and the former Basel forward. In midfield. it's the shrewdness and energy of Jonas Hofmann as the number 10, looking to buzz in and around Kimmich and Alaba and ruffle a few feathers, whilst the backline looks as good as ever: the terrier-like Stefan Lainer at right-back, up initially against the youngster Musiala, and the complementary pairing of Nico Elvedi with his recovery pace and Matthias Ginter with his aerial dominance will marshall the threat of Lewandowski. Ramy Bensebaini has the pace, strength, heading ability, crossing and tenacity to make him an all-round fantastic full-back, and his job will be to watch his direct opponent Coman carefully. Denis Zakaria and Florian Neuhaus will have the difficult task of managing the roaming Muller, and the double pivot could definitely come in handy when considering defensive shape and positioning.
16:39
Let's break down the team selections. Both have adopted their traditional 4-2-3-1 shapes, and Bayern have plumped for David Alaba in the double pivot to support the deeper-lying orchestrator Joshua Kimmich. Jamal Musiala lines up on the flank, and it is expected that he and Kingsley Coman will frequently switch wings to confuse the visiting defence. Lewandowski and Muller spearhead the frontline centrally; with the experienced attacking midfielder as ever propped just behind the Polish international. Lucas Hernandez is preferred to Niklas Sule in central defence, and Alphonso Davies retains his left-back berth after a good run of form.
16:37
Whilst die Borussen are matching them up: Sommer, Lainer, Ginter, Elvedi, Bensebaini, Zakaria, Neuhaus, Embolo, Hofmann, Lazaro, Thuram.
16:37
Bayern are in their 4-2-3-1: Neuer, Pavard, Boateng, Hernandez, Davies, Kimmich, Alaba, Coman, Muller, Musiala, Lewandowski.
16:36
Here are the lineups...
16:34
Jadon Sancho's 87th minute winner was enough to put a dagger in the hearts of the Leipzig supporters, who had just calmed down from celebrating Dani Olmo's equaliser ten minutes earlier. Sancho had scored once before, adding to Marco Reus' opener, and Lukas Klostermann halved the deficit on 63 minutes, but it wasn't enough as the England international won the title for Munich.
16:33
Dortmund's 3-2 victory sees them leapfrog Eintracht Frankfurt into the top four on 58 points, and Leipzig's defeat sees them remain on 64 points - a total that leaves Bayern uncatchable - the Bavarians are on 71 at present with three games left to play.
