Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman set to miss start of season with ankle injury

Kingsley Coman has suffered ligament damage to his left ankle, Bayern Munich have confirmed.
The on-loan Juventus player had to be helped onto a stretcher at the club's training ground on Wednesday before receiving treatment by Bayern's club doctor, who diagnosed the injury.
Bayern begin the defence of their German title with a home match against Werder Bremen on August 26 at the Allianz Arena, but ankle ligament injuries typically take between 4-8 weeks to heal.
Coman forced his way into the Bayern team that won the Bundesliga and Germany Cup last season.
Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already stated that a permanent deal is "imminent" that will see the player join the German champions for around €21m (£18.1m).
He enjoyed six goals and 12 assists in 35 appearances under former manager Pep Guardiola before appearing as a substitute as Carlo Ancelotti's team lifted the German Supercup with a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.
Coman has already won six caps for France, and appeared as a substitute in the 1-0 extra-time defeat to Portugal in the Euro 2016 final.
