Bayern Munich 'to sell Jerome Boateng to PSG over collaboration with Jay-Z'
ByLe Buzz
It's transfer silly season - and with that comes a raft of equally bizarre stories. But the latest report from German publication TZ really is something.
According to the source, Bayern Munich are set to sell defender Jerome Boateng - all because of his friendship and 'collaboration' with rap star Jay-Z.
Yes, really.
Apparently Bayern's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is fed up with the 'constant travel' and 'distractions' that come with Boateng's link up with the American superstar.
The Germany defender became the first footballer to sign with Roc Nation Sports in June 2015, one arm of the talent agency set up by Jay-Z five years ago.
As a result of the move, Boateng has reportedly struck up a strong friendship with the musician and frequently flies out to see him in the States.
Anyway, the crux of all this is that Rummenigge has had enough and is apparently engineering a €50 million move for Boateng to PSG.
The French giants are understood to be very keen to pounce for him after they missed out on signing Leonardo Bonucci, who joined Juventus.
