Apologies for the technical difficulties. We're back underway, covering Bayern Munich versus Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena. It's the reigning champions against one of this season's most exciting hype teams as Roger Schmidt looks to take on Pep Guardiola in Bavaria.

FULL-TIME: Bayern Munich 1-0 Bayer Leverkusen - Leverkusen had their chances, didn't take them and then the inevitable happened: Bayern scored, took control and made the visitor's early pressing work against them as their legs tired. The hosts extend their points total at the top and add another game onto their formidable tally of wins.

Bayern sub: Pierre Hojbjerg comes on for Robert Lewandowski but it looks likely to be a very short appearance for the Dane.

We'll have two minutes of added time and with things breaking up a bit this match could well have a rather dramatic finish.

Yellow card for Bellarabi, who decides to take the law into his own hands against Rode following a few heavy challenges from the midfielder. He dives in with intent and receives a card for his troubles.

Bayern sub: Bastian Schweinsteiger comes on for Thomas Muller, as Pep Guardiola finally unleashes the fan favourite onto the field to continue his rehabilitation from injury with a late cameo appearance from the bench.

There's a man down for both sides as Rafinha and Drmic smash together in the Bayern half with the physios surrounding both players. They look like they should be ok.

Robben bursts forward once again. He's become the dynamo of the closing stages for Bayern with Leverkusen's early pressing leaving their legs too tired to keep up with his running as the clock ticks down. Can the Bavarians seal the deal with a second before time?

BALLON D'OR WATCH! Neuer has once again been Neuer tonight, with the Bayern captain having showed off his trademark gamut of sweeper-keeper abilities against Leverkusen. Still, it doesn't matter how good he is in or outside of his box. He's not going to beat Messi and Ronaldo, is he? ...is he?

Leverkusen have a throw-in but it quickly becomes a lightning counter-attack, spurred on by Robben, who sprints up field to ultimately win Bayern a throw-in near the corner flag. They can't do anything with it though and Leno boots it back up field.

Leverkusen substitution: Robbie Kruse comes on for Stefan Kiessling as the wounded striker finally hobbles off the field. He hasn't looked right since his initial breakdown and has done well to continue on for as long as he has.

Bayern win another corner as Lewandowski shows a little bit too much of the ball for Spahic who hooks it away and out behind after another surging run from the Pole. The Bosnian captain is struggling however and he clutches his ribs.

Another goal seems likely for Bayern as Lewandowski hovers around the box as Thomas Muller attempts to play him in. A corner is won but the delivery from Alonso is poor, again, and flies out for a goal kick.

It's a yellow card for Castro as the referee shows him a card for dissent after trying to calm the situation down after Rolfes fouls Ribery. The midfielder who brought down the Frenchman gets away without even a warning.

Bastian Schweinsteiger appears to be warming up on the sidelines for Bayern as Franck Ribery goes down injured. The Frenchman is back on his feet and running about though. Perhaps Guardiola has been impressed by the extra impact of Rode and fancies adding even more box-to-box power into the midfield?

Leverkusen substitution: Lars Bender leaves the field for Simon Rolfes while Son Heung-Min comes off for Josip Drmic.

Lewandowski misses a peach of an opportunity. The Pole steams down the right and looks up to see Muller running towards the opposite post. He attempts to pick him out but the cross-box pass hits Rode who runs centrally. The ball floats up infront of Lewandowski who attempts to apply an athletic finish. He hits it and half the ground roar in celebration but the ball instead zooms into the side-netting.

Another Bayern effort! This time the ball is worked through to Ribery over on the left side of the box who blasts it well over and Leverkusen win a goal kick. Leverkusen must be careful here.

Thomas Muller is played in to run down to the right side of the box. He then pulls off a shot-cum-cross that blasts across the face of goal for Lewandowski to profit from but it ends up hitting the post under its own steam and rebounds back into play.

Bernat clatters into Bender to grant Leverkusen a freekick. The ball is sent back to Toprak who feeds it forward. They eventually win a freekick after an Alonso foul but the delivery isn't reached by the on-rushing Kiessling.

Lewandowski is on the move, and strolls past three Leverkusen players before trying to pick out Bernat down the left. Leverkusen seem worryingly muted now as Bayern slip into control mode.
