Sunday's WSL fixtures began in Leigh with an intriguing clash between the division's fifth and sixth placed teams. Manchester United got off to a good start when France striker Melvine Malard found space in the box to head home, but Tottenham turned the game on its head with two quick goals from Beth England and Jessica Naz. Maya Le Tissier salvaged a point with a late strike.

‘The future for Manchester United looks very good’ - Erik ten Hag thrilled with youngsters

Sunday's Women's Super League action began at Leigh Sports Village as Manchester United played host to Tottenham Hotspur in a preview of next month's FA Women's Cup Final.
Lyon loanee Melvine Malard opened the scoring for the home side with a header from a floated Gemma Evans free-kick after 13 minutes. It was the fifth league goal of the season for the France international.
Spurs got a controversial equaliser in the 29th minute when Beth England appeared to get the final touch on Jamaica international midfielder Drew Spence's shot. Much of the drama surrounded question marks over whether England was in an offside position as the ball came in, but the goal was awarded.
Clever footwork from Jessica Naz created space and she slapped her shot into the top corner to give Spurs the lead just two minutes later.
United dominated the ball thereafter, hunting an equaliser but they failed to turn their dominance into clear chances.
A late flurry of shots threatened to produce a classic late United equaliser, and it finally came when Maya Le Tissier levelled in the final moments.
The 2-2 draw preserves United's unbeaten streak against Spurs and lifts them up to fourth, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.

Arsenal guarantee Champions League qualification with Leicester win

Arsenal guaranteed their place in next season's UEFA Women's Champions League with a 3-0 victory over Leicester City at the Emirates.
Beth Mead's 28th-minute close range strike put the Gunners ahead and only poor shooting prevented them from racking up a much larger score against one of the league's strugglers. The Foxes remain thankful for the presence of the hapless Bristol City who prop up the table.
A rare Leicester foray forward opened up space for Arsenal to break in the 75th minute and Alessia Russo slammed home the Gunners' second goal. Stephanie Catley won the ball in midfield and drove forward before passing to Russo on the edge of the box. The striker took a touch before firing her shot straight into the bottom-left corner.
Mead pounced on a loose ball in the box to make it 3-0 three minutes later. A header from Russo was saved by Leicester goalkeeper Lize Kop, but the forward managed to nudge it towards Mead, and the winger finished with a deft chip into the net.

City hammer West Ham to keep title hopes on track

Manchester City swept aside West Ham at the Academy Stadium in Manchester, with Jess Park setting up Leila Ouahabi with a neat cutback. The Spain international put in the opener after just 24 seconds.
City added a second two minutes later when Lauren Hemp dug out a great cross to Khadija Shaw. Shaw used her strength to make space before sweeping home the finish.
The pair combined for City's third goal of the game in the 24th minute, with Shaw opting for a powerful header to complete her brace.
Laura Blindkilde made it 4-0 late on, putting away the rebound from Mary Fowler's initially saved shot, with Jess Park adding the fifth and final goal a few minutes later.
While City didn't have much work to do in the second half, they continued to dominate and eased to a victory that takes them three points ahead of defending champions Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
