Erin Cuthbert: Chelsea could end up with ‘absolutely nothing’ in quadruple hunt - ‘Less talk, more action’

Erin Cuthbert feels Chelsea can still end the season with “absolutely nothing” despite chasing a quadruple. Chelsea can go three points clear at the top of the Women’s Super League on Saturday but know there is a thin line between glory and ending the campaign empty-handed. “Emma Hayes put all the trophies up before and also a blank screen - we either win nothing or we go on and be great."

Erin Cuthbert feels Chelsea could still end the season with “absolutely nothing” as the Blues target a historic quadruple.
Ahead of a blockbuster clash with Arsenal on Friday evening, Cuthbert feels Chelsea are not getting carried away in their bid for a fifth successive Women’s Super League title.
Emma Hayes’ side will have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the league to three points over Manchester City and six over Jonas Eidevall’s side on Saturday.
Chelsea will also lock horns with the Gunners in the League Cup final, while the West London side are also chasing glory in the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.
“The quadruple, wow, that's mad,” Cuthbert said when asked about the possibility of a stunning four-trophy haul.
“Emma Hayes put all the trophies up before and also a blank screen - we either win nothing or we go on and be great.

“It's all well and good talking about a potential quadruple but we're at the point where we can still win absolutely nothing.
“I think the main message is less talk, more action. We have to do our talking on the pitch and make sure that when the big moments come, we're ready.”
It will be Hayes’ last season with Chelsea after she announced that she would leave the club after 12 years in charge.
Hayes, who will become the head coach of the United States women's national team, has won six league titles, five FA Cups and two League Cups in her time with Chelsea.
"We really want to do it for Emma. I certainly do," Cuthbert said. "She's given a lot to me as a person and as an individual.
"I think she'll love nothing more than leaving a legacy and a culture that's built on winning, and it's up to us to do it.

"These are the games I look forward to. The business end of the season is my favourite. It's the games that really have a lot of magnitude and mean something. Everything is worth three points.
"Arsenal and Manchester City are two top teams and they are going to keep knocking on the door so it's up to us to keep pulling out results."
Chelsea go into Saturday’s game in good form, having beaten Leicester City, Man City and Everton for successive victories.
However, Cuthbert knows that there are fine margins between those battling it out for the major honours.
"One slip-up could ultimately cost us a title. We need to keep winning," she said. "Everyone says, 'Oh, maybe they won't be as rested or they'll be tired'. I think you feed off the energy of winning multiple games and you can really get a snowball effect.
"I'm not even thinking about all the titles we need to win, I'm literally just thinking about Arsenal on Friday. The Champions League [quarter-final tie against Ajax] comes after that."
