Romaric with a long ball. Comes off the back of Drogba's head. Falls to Kalou who lifts the shot miles over the bar. Poor finish.

Mesbah with a late challenge on Kone. Romaric then throws in a free-kick, but far too much pace on the delivery as Mbolhi clasps the loose ball.
12'
Halliche rises to nod away the cross from Drogba before Mostefa does likewise to deal with Romaric's corner.

Boudebouz taken out of the action late by Boka. A pretty awful tackle, but somehow the referee opts against producing the yellow card. Strange call.

Vahid Halilhodzic looks on from the side. Must be wondering what his Algeria side have to do to score at these finals.

Yeboah off his line to collect the cross from Mesbah. Easy, easy take for him. And we continue at 0-0 here.

Confident penalty, but lacked the direction. Yeboah was well beaten, but his goal remains intact. Wretched stuff for Algeria.

Boudebouz misses the penalty! The ball comes back off a post before racing to safety. Algeria remain without a goal in their past four matches.

PENALTY TO ALGERIA! Ismael Traore brings down Hilal Soudani and that is a spok-kick to the pointless Algeria. Clear foul just inside the area.
5'
Razak slams a long ranger at target from distance, but Mbolhi is well positioned to make the save. All too easy.

On paper, this is the match between the two top ranked sides in Africa. But in reality this is a dead rubber. Algeria have been penalised for failing to score in this tournament.
3'
Boudebouz showing some decent skills on the ball out wide before he is crowded out of the action by a posse of orange shirts.
2'
Not exactly a full house in for this match as Kalou just fails to keep the ball in play out wide.

We are off and running then in this final match of the section.

You can of course follow LIVE updates from the game that has a bit more life in it today as Reda Maher brings you the action from the Mbombela Stadium as Togo and Tunisia battle to join Ivory Coast in the last eight of the tournament.
16:50
New Galatasaray forward Drogba has no problems about being used in a squad rotation system. "There is no issue with me being benched," he said. "And do not try and make a big deal out of it."
16:45
Ivory Coast make several changes from their 3-0 win over Tunisia in their previous outing on Saturday but include Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou from the start. Algeria have no fresh injury concerns from their loss to Togo and shuffle their pack as they prepare to bow out of this year's tournament.
16:40
Both of these teams have little to play for but pride. Ivory Coast are already through as Group D winners after beating Togo and Tunisia while Algeria are on their way home after this match having lost twice to the same opponents. Ivory Coast will top the group whatever happens in the other match between Togo and Tunisia because the group placings are settled on head-to-head results rather than goal difference.
16:40
The referee is Eric Otogo-Castane of Gabon.
16:35
