And that's it from Bata. Stay here for the second quarter-final.
Zambia playing down the clock. The sending off was decisive but the better team would have won regardless.
Katongo is off for Sakuwaha as the clock runs down.
Substitute Chamanga collects the ball on the edge of the box before opening his body up and bending it into the other corner. Great strike to settle this one.
There is a little under ten minutes for Sudan to get back into this game but it looks as though fatigue has set in and this one looks to be over.
Mudather, who has been Sudan's best player, takes another ball out of the air and begins another a Sudan attack - with eleven men Sudan would be right in this.
Great work from El Hadi, who manages to dispossess Kalaba following a good switch of play.
Katongo leaves the field of play for some treatment.
El Hadi is at it again. He intentionally kicks Katongo in the mid-drift as they compete for a ball. Teriible.
Absolute shambles from El Hadi. Almost laughable. He gets under a cross allowing the ball to drop at the back post and then tackles his own man as he attempts to clear before falling over.
Mudather continues to run the lines well and he gets in behind and starts another move for Sudan. The ball is eventually moved wide to Ramadan, whose cross fails to beat the first man.
This is a pretty simple equation now for Zambia - they just need to see this out and they are in the semi-final.
Katongo sees his effort saved but with no Sudanese player following up he dispatches the rebound. El Hadi is furious. 2-0 and game probably over.
Kalaba wins a penalty having been almost sliced in half by Ali. He receives his marching orders and the captain Katongo has the opportunity to double his side's advantage.
Mayuka takes down a hoisted ball before lashing a volley high and wide.
Zambia seem happy to let Sudan have the ball and they are far less dominant. Bizarre.
Zambia appear to be resorting to similar tactics as their opponents and go long. Sudan are, as a result, having their best spell of possession.
Zambia sub: Kasonde on for Lungu.
Ramadan shows good determination to win the ball and find Mudather, who makes space for himself but fires straight at the keeper.
Sudan put together their first consistent bit of passing and fashion a chance for Khalifa on the edge of the box but his effort is always rising.
