MANANA MANANA
A new Rojo, and 750m more climbing than even today. It's going to be tough. For everyone.

My only feat is that it turns out to be one of those Vuelta stages that's too hard and ends up neutralizing the race. We'll find out tomorrow, when I'll be right here.

JAY VINE: DID YOU GO IN THE BREAK FOR YOU, OR FOR THE TEAM?
"It was definitely to win the stage. But there was always the option that if the break wasn't going to win that I could come back and do some work. So, it was always on the cards to have me in the breakaway to do something if it came back together.
I know these roads pretty well. I live down the hill and Comella is my favourite climb in all of Andorra. I would have normally liked to have done it way harder but with the headwind it was harder to get the guys to pull through. So I left it to the top, and with the wet descent... I know it really well, I thought this is my chance to get away. There'll be no funny business, just mano a mano.
I got the call-up to do this race four weeks ago - it wasn't on my original schedule, so to be able to win in front of my son and my wife, it's unbelievable. Incredibly motivating the last 5k. All I could think was "This is for you, Harrison. This is for you." Get there as quick as possible."

16:20
JAY VINE THE NEW MAILLOT DE LUNARES
By a single point from Louis Vervaeke, who didn't pick up any points on the final climb.
16:16
TORSTEN TRAEEN LEADS LA VUELTA
What an accomplishment for the 30 year-old Norwegian, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer a few years ago.
16:14
JOAO ALMEIDA THE NEW UAE TEAM LEADER
He sounded confident yesterday, and with Ayuso some minutes down, there can be no argument.
16:13
BEN O'CONNOR NOT IN THE GROUP OF FAVOURITES
Ten of them left, I'll tell you who shortly. They're about to cross the line but I don't think they'll be any gaps.
16:10
ALMEIDA HAS PULLED BACK CICCONE AND VINGEGAARD
And he looks to continue on with another attack. Tom Pidcock might be in trouble, as they now have 1km to ride.
16:10
TORSTEN TRAEEN CROSSES THE LINE IN SECOND
In 58 seconds we'll know if he's the new race leader. (He will be.)
16:08
JAY VINE WINS STAGE 6!
It's number three for him, this one at home, and two in a row for UAE Emirates. That might have to count as a consolation prize, though. They could be struggling when the Andorran dust settles.
16:07
1KM TO GO: VINGEGAARD IS RIDING WITH CICCONE
As Vine goes under the kite, why shouldn't Vingo look to put time into UAE, whose GC challenge(s) look to be wobbling.
16:05
1.5KM TO GO: GIULIO CICCONE ATTACKS
Vingegaard follows. Buitrago looks to keep Tiberi in it, while Sepp Kuss sits behind marking.
16:04
2KM TO GO: TRAEN IS HOLDING AT 47 SECONDS
The stage win isn't happening but the red jersey looks like it is. He has 20 seconds over Armirail and more than four minutes on the bunch. Back down the road Ben Tulett is riding very well for Jonas Vingegaard.
16:00
3KM TO GO: LIDL-TREK LOOK TO BE PREPARING AN ATTACK
Giulio Ciccone must be feeling strong. Carlos Verona has ridden strongly and hands over to Bagioli. Everyone else, UAE most visibly, line up behind Ciccone.
15:57
4KM TO GO: AYUSO IS SWINGING
And officially he's fallen off, even as the peloton aren't on the charge and is still more or less complete. This is a big shock, unless he can get back.
15:56
5KM TO GO: VINE WITH 50 SECONDS
It is coming down to Træen now, who has displaced Castrillo from second spot and can surely now roll the dice. The red jersey looks to be his so why not go for the stage as well?
15:53
6KM TO GO: THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR PABLO CASTRILLO?
He's certainly giving it a go. Torstein Træen looks to have won the battle of the red jersey, as Armirail is struggling to match his pace - for now.
15:49
7.5KM TO GO: CASTRILLO GOES AGAIN
Which looks to be it for De Bruyne, Garofili, and Ryan. They've at least stemmed their losses to Vine, but they need to pull back real time. The steepest section of this climb is nearer the top, though.
15:46
9.5KM TO GO: CASTRILLO LAUNCHES THE FIRST ATTACK
Fortunato follows, and Traen hitches a lift too. Archie Ryan looks to come across, with his team-mate James Shaw there as well. It wasn't working and it's the right call to form a smaller, more motivated group, but it's no good if they all get across and restore the status quo.
15:44
10KM TO GO: VINE'S STAGE TO LOSE
He's closing in on a minute, and the riders behind are just wasting time. Maybe none of them have the legs, but if they don't buy a ticket... Obviously a couple of them has more interest in a red jersey, which means just riding steady.
