The moment of truth has arrived: after nine consecutive days of hard racing, riders face a gruelling, 52km individual time-trial the day before their first rest day. In the heart of Brittany, the first rider leaves Lanester at 10.30cet and last at 16.10cet.

RACE COURSE:
The first 32km contains rolling hills as riders travel down the shore road along the Gulf of Morbihan while the final 20km are flat and quick. The course is tricky and riders will keep their fingers crossed for no rain.
RIDERS TO WATCH
This one of Lance Amrsmtrong's favourite stages. This is where he usually makes his assault for the yellow jersey. He is unbeaten in long-distance time trials for three years and he will be challenged by Gonzalez Galdeano and Colombian Santiago Botero.
