Lorena Wiebes admitted that “this time it was quite tight” after dramatically surging to gold in the final few metres of the scratch race final at the UCI Track World Championships in Chile. The Dutch star edge Amalie Dideriksen of Denmark at the line in a stunning finish and said after: “With four laps to go I thought ‘I’m not sure if it’s going to happen’.”
