England captain Ben Stokes has praised James Anderson after the 41-year-old took his 700th Test wicket on Saturday in Dharamshala. India sealed the fifth Test to secure a 4-1 series win on day three, but it was Anderson who stole the headlines. "I honestly just don’t know when he’s going to stop," Stokes said after the match. "The desire, the commitment and everything is still there."

'I don't know when he's going to stop' - Stokes on 'phenomenal' Anderson after 700-wicket milestone

Ben Stokes can not see James Anderson slowing down anytime soon after he took his 700th Test wicket in England’s 4-1 series defeat to India.
The England legend dismissed Kuldeep Yadav during the first innings on day three of the fifth Test in Dharamshala for his milestone moment.
England captain Stokes showed his admiration for his international colleague and admitted he “doesn't know when he’ll stop”.
“Amazing to be on the field,” Stokes said. “I’ve been lucky enough to be on the field for some of the milestones that Jimmy’s got to, but being there for 700 wickets as a seamer is quite phenomenal.
“I’ve said many times that he’s someone that every kid who wants to be a fast bowler should look up to and try and emulate everything that he has done. From the first day he started being a cricketer, let alone being an international cricket, to where he is now.
“He’s 41 years old and he’s as fit as I've ever seen him and I honestly just don’t know when he’s going to stop. The desire, the commitment and everything is still there and it’s a credit to watch.”

Watch Anderson become third bowler in history to reach 700 Test wickets

Anderson became only the third player in history to reach the 700-wicket mark and the veteran sits behind Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka and Shane Warne of Australia with 800 and 708 wickets respectively.
But Anderson tops the charts when it comes to pace bowlers as the standalone player to achieve the feat, and he also holds the record for most Test wickets against India.
After making his first wicket at Lord’s in 2003, 21 years ago, Anderson took five years to rack up his 100th to dismiss South Africa’s Jacques Kallis at the Oval in 2008.
His 200th came just two years later when he bowled Australia’s Peter Siddle overseas in Perth, and seven years later he magnificently reached wicket number 500 at Lord’s in 2017.
