INDIA WIN MATCH AND SERIES AS ENGLAND LET STRONG POSITIONS SLIP

India beat England by 15 runs to win the fourth T20I and the series, as the tourists let strong positions slip in both innings.
A controversial concussion substitution also didn't help their cause, as batting all-rounder Shivam Dube was replaced by out-and-out bowler Harshit Rana at the innings break. Dube had scored 53 runs and Rana went on to take three wickets.
England bowled first for the first time all series and had India in real trouble at 12-3 and 79-5, but allowed them to escape and post a competitive total of 181.
Saqib Mahmood bowled a triple-wicket maiden in his first over of the tour to launch England's superb start, but his subseqent overs went at an economy rate of more than 11, typifying how the tide turned.
Dube and Hardik Pandya topped the scoring with 53 runs each and shared an 87-run sixth-wicket partnership.
Pandya's knock in particular - off 30 balls, with four fours and four sixes - changed the mood of the match.
Ben Duckett and Phil Salt got England off to something of a flyer in response, scoring 32 in the powerplay, but Duckett fell off the final delivery.
Wickets flowed at short intervals thereafter and only a spirited 51 from Harry Brook gave England any real hope.
That Rana claimed three wickets and caught Buttler added controversy, but too many of the England wickets were self-inflicted through shot selection.
One game remains in the five-match T20 series, which India lead 3-1.

COOK ON RANA'S CONTENTIOUS CONCUSSION SUB

Alastair Cook, on TNT Sports, had this to say: "You've got to love cricket haven't you? At half-time, you'd never have thought the story you're going to be talking about is concussion substitutions and that had such a big impact on the game. Firstly, we've got to say concussion is a serious thing. But replacing a spinner - a big-hitting, batting all-rounder who's bowled one over in the IPL for a guy who can't bat who bowls heavy seam makes no sense to me... England still should have won the game."

RANA NAMED PLAYER OF THE MATCH

"It's still a dream debut for me," he says, when asked how it felt to makde it as a concussion replacement.

England 166 all out (Rashid 10*, Mahmood 1) Over 20: (Arshdeep): 1, 1, 1, W

Arshdeep bowls the final over and England can't get him away, before Mahmood is caught and victory secured.

INDIA WIN BY 15 RUNS!

Mahmood holes out when England need three straight sixes to win and India win! They win both the game and the series. Their 17th T20I series win in a row at home.

England 163-9 (Rashid 8, Mahmood 0) Over 19: (Rana): 4, 0, 2, 0, 0, W

Overton hits Rana back down the ground for four first ball! Next ball isn't out of the middle of the bat and he declines the single.
A top edge follows but Overton's luck is in as Samson, running backwards, spills the catch! What really matters is two more runs.
Rana responds with two dots, because Overton turns down the single, then he plays on last ball of the over.

WICKET! Overton 17 (b Rana)

Overton plays on, trying to heave over the leg side.

England 157-8 (Overton 13, Archer 8) Over 18: (Arshdeep): 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 6

Even when Overton nails a half-volley, it hits the stumps at the non-striker's end so England only get a single. Five of them to start the over.
Yet from the last ball, Rashid heaves to cow corner and the ball lands on the rope!
Two overs left, 25 runs required.

England 146-8 (Overton 10, Rashid 0) Over 17: (Bishnoi): 0, 2, 6, 1, W, 0

Overton slaps Bishnoi back over his head for six and sparks hope back into the England chase. Two balls later, Archer chops on.
England need 36 from 18 deliveries.

WICKET! Archer 0 (b Bishnoi)

Archer doesn't pick the googly and plays on, departing for a two-ball duck.

England 137-7 (Overton 1, Archer 0) Over 16: (Rana): 2, 0, 1, 1, W, 0

Rana keeps it tight and dismisses England's last frontline batter. Pretty good for a debutant.
With four overs to go, England need 45 runs.

WICKET! Bethell 6 (c Suryakumar b Rana)

Bethell goes big, doesn;t get hold of it and in cuaght by the captain, who has tocome in from teh boundary to make the catch. It's all falling apart from an England point if view.

WATCH: BROOK HITS BACK-TO-BACK SIXES

Did England's hopes of victory depart with this man?

England 133-6 (Bethell 3, Overton 0) Over 15: (Chakravarthy): 1, 4, W, 4lb, W, 0

A pivotal over in the chase and another which leaves India on top.
England need 49 from 30 balls and are running out of batters.

WICKET! Carse 0 (c Rinku b Chakravarthy)

Looking for a big shot, second ball he faces, Carse holes out to Rinku.

WICKET! Brook 51 (c Arshdeep b Chakravarthy)

Fifty and out for Brook! He tries to scoop Chakravarthy but merely helps the ball to Arshdeep at a short fine leg. England 129-5.

FIFTY! Brook 51* (25)

Brook sweeps Chakravarthy to teh boundary to bring up a run-a-ball half-century.

England 124-4 (Brook 47, Bethell 2) Over 14: (Rana): 0, 0, 2, 6, 6, 4

Back-to-back sixes for Brook! One using the pace of the ball, the next a brutal drive over the off side. And Brook adds a four off the last ball of the over for good measure.

England 106-4 (Brook 29, Bethell 2) Over 13: (Chakravarthy): 1, 1, 4, 0, 1, 0

Brook looks in fine touch, despite not passing 20 in the series before today, and in the over where England reach their century he plays the best shot, rocking back to pull through cow corner.
England need 76 runs from 42 balls.

England 99-4 (Brook 23, Bethell 1) Over 12: (Rana): 1, W, 1, 2, 1, 0

On his T20I debute, Rana comes into the attack to great effect. But it is a controversial concussion substitute,as the constant cutting of teh camera to an unhappy Buttler attests.

WICKET! Livingstone 9 (c Samson b Rana)

Rana claims a wicket in his first T20I over! Livingstone tries to guide the ball down to third but can only tickle an edge through to the wicketkeeper.

England 94-3 (Brook 19, Livingstone 9) Over 11: (Axar): 0, 1, 2, 4, 1, 0

Tilak saves a boundary with some excellent fielding behind the bowler, but India can do nothing as Brook cuts the next delivery to the rope. The rebuild continues.

England 86-3 (Brook 12, Livingstone 8) Over 10: (Bishnoi): 2, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1

Eight runs from the over, with Brook and Livingstone running well.
At the halfway stage of the chase, England are behind the rate. Another 96 runs needed from 60 balls.

England 78-3 (Brook 8, Livingstone 4) Over 9: (Chakravarthy): 2, 4, 1, 2, 2, 0

A much better over from England, with Brook's confident sweep for four the highlight.

England 67-3 (Brook 1, Livingstone 0) Over 8 (Bishnoi): 1, 1, W, 0, 0, 0

The pendulum of momentum has firmly swung back India's way.
Harshit Rana, who took the catch, has replaced Buttler as a concussion substitute - England will not be thrilled about an out-an-out bowler being chosen to replace batting all-rounder Dube.

WICKET! Buttler 2 (c sub b Bishnoi)

Another wicket and a massive one! Buttler cuts straight to the point fielder, the ball coming off the edge of the bat,

England 65-2 (Buttler 1, Brook 0) Over 7 (Axar): 1, wd, 1, 0, 0, W, 0

How England play spin will mostly likely decide this chase. Not a great start to the non-powerplay overs.

WICKET! Salt 23 (b Axar)

India's fightback has truly arrived! Salt is on the back foot and tries to cut Axar - but misses and is clean bowled.

WATCH: DUCKETT DISMISSED

But not before getting England off to a strong start.

Video credit: TNT Sports

England 62-1 (Salt 15, Buttler 0) Over 6 (Bishnoi): 2, 0, 4, 1, 2, W

A super powerplay for England ends on a sour note, with Duckett falling.
Still, the target is now 120 off 84 balls. Captain Buttler is at the crease.

WICKET! Duckett 39 (c Suryakumar b Bishnoi)

Duckett edges the last ball of the powerplay up and into the happy hands of the Indian captain - who finally has something to smile about this innings.

England 53-0 (Salt 15, Duckett 37) Over 5 (Axar): 4, 1lb, 1, 4, 6, 0

More sweeping to ruthless effect from Duckett, a reverse for a six the highlight. He has raced to 37 runs already.
England's target is down to 129 runs from 90 balls.

Video credit: TNT Sports

England 37-0 (Salt 14, Duckett 22) Over 4 (Chakravarthy): 0, 0, 4, 0, 1, 0

Chakravarthy's 10 wickets this series are double what any other bowler had managed through three games. No wicket in his first over here, but just five runs from all, all via Duckett reverese sweeps.

England 32-0 (Salt 14, Duckett 18) Over 3 (Arshdeep): 0, 4, 4, 4, 1, 0

Duckett twice fetches a delivery and works it onto the leg side for four, before hooking a short ball to the boundary.
India captain Suryakumar is in an animated discussion with the umpire midway through the over - not sure if there was a good reason or if he was just trying to slow the momentum. Spin is going to be introduced to the attack.

England 19-0 (Salt 14, Duckett 5) Over 2 (Pandya): 4, 1, 4, 0, 0, 2

The pick of the shots is a lofted cover drive, played by Salt. Duckett also found the boundary, running the ball down to third or edging there, depending how charitable you are feeling.

England 8-0 (Salt 8, Duckett 0) Over 1 (Arshdeep): 0, 0, 4, 4, 0, 0

Salt gets England off the mark with a wristy drive past the circle mid-off fielder. A flick through mid-onn adds four more.

ENGLAND CHASE ABOUT TO BEGIN

Arshdeep will bowl the first over.

TNT SPORTS EXPERTS GIVE THEIR VERDICT

Alastair Cook: "It was a great innings to watch actually, it had everything in it. India's power - we said they'd been a bit timid with their batting in the third T20 but they weren't timid at all. When it was up, it was off... I think they've got about par."
Steven Finn: "It looked as though the slower balls into the pitch were tricky to hit, mixed up with the pace-on ones which looked like they might skid through. It felt like if you got predictable, looking for full deliveries in particular, the Indian batters were really comfortable trying to smash those over the rope. I think from 79-5 after 11 overs, to allow India to get 181, England will feel like they've let India off the hook. Will England be able to chase them? It's going to be a tough ask from what I saw there."

India 181-5 (Dube 48, Axar 2) Over 20 (Carse): 2, W, W, 0, 0, 1W

Three wickets and more importantly just three runs from the last over. Excellent from Overton as the tourists finish well, when it looked like really getting away from them.

WICKET! Dube 53 (run out Buttler)

Dube is run out off the final ball, trying for a second run, so India finish on 181.

WICKET! Arshdeep 0 (run out Overton)

Arshdeep is run out off his only ball, sacrificing himself to get Dube back on strike.

WICKET! Axar 5 (c Bethell b Overton)

One ball after being dropped by Livingstone, Axar falls hitting out.

WATCH: PANDYA AND DUBE LEAD FIGHTBACK

Their brilliant partnership was worth 87 runs in the end.

Video credit: TNT Sports

India 178-5 (Dube 48, Axar 2) Over 19 (Carse): 0, 1, 2, 1, 4, 4

Dube helps a loose ball down the leg side to the boundary and Carse's frustration is evident, having been a tight over until then. The next ball also goes for four, but was a great shot. With one over to go, India are looking at 190 or so.

FIFTY! Dube 52* (31)

Dube brings up a half-century by cutting Carse through the covers.

India 166-5 (Dube 43, Axar 0) Over 18 (Overton): wd, 4nb, 6, 1, 4, 1, 2, W

India take 20 from the over, before Pandya falls.

WICKET! Pandya 53 (c Buttler b Overton)

Pandya's brilliant innings come to an end on an Overton slower ball. Pandya skies it off a leading edge and England captain Buttler takes the catch, but those 53 runs off 30 balls have changed the outlook of the match.

FIFTY! Pandya 50* (27)

A dismissive carve back over the bowler's head, on a free hit, brings up Pandya's half-century.
Four fours and four sixes in a brilliant innings which has brought India perhaps even into the ascendency, striking at almost a run a ball.

WATCH: CARSE DISMISSES RINKU

India have scored 67 runs for no wickets since this moment.

India 146-5 (Dube 38, Pandya 40) Over 17 (Archer): 6, 4, 1, 4, 1, 1

Pandya starts another over with a six, opening his body and launching Archer over mid-off.
A similar shot brings four more and Dube also picks up a four down the ground, beating the ring mid-off fielder. Seventeen runs off another good over for India.

India 129-5 (Dube 33, Pandya 28) Over 16 (Mahmood): 6, 1, 0, wd, 1, 6, 1

Mahmood returns and is drived for six by Pandya straight away, over the covers.
A few deliveries later, Pandya pulls him for six - just over the hands of Brook on teh boundary.
Dube and Pandya are lifting India to a competitive total at this rate, with powerful hitting.

India 113-5 (Dube 32, Pandya 14) Over 15 (Overton): 1, 0, 0, 0, 1, wd, 0

The extra ball almost creates a wicket as Dube edges a short one straight up, but it lands before Overton can get there.
Still, an excellent over for England with just three runs coming from it.

India 110-5 (Dube 31, Pandya 13) Over 14 (Rashid): 1, 4, 6, 1, 0, 0

Spectacular hitting from Dube! He swivels and flicks Rashid through the leg side for four, before smahsing the next ball back over his head for six.
Rashid comes back well and ends his spell with back-to-back dots.
He is done for the evening - one wicket for 35 runs.

India 98-5 (Dube 20, Pandya 12) Over 13 (Carse): 4, 4, 1, 1, 1, 0

Carse is too short then too full. Pandya pulls the first for four, drives the second for the same result.
India's counter-attack is short-lived, for now, but it's a good over for them.

India 85-5 (Dube 19, Pandya 2) Over 12 (Rashid): 1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 4

It looks as though India may be content to see out Rashid's remaining overs in the name of rebuilding, until Dube rockes back and pulls the last ball for a one-bounce four.

India 79-5 (Dube 13, Pandya 0) Over 11 (Carse): 1, 4, 1, wd, W, 0, 0

With the wicket falling, that's another good over for England. Rinku was the set batter, but seemed restless and the big shot was either going to kickstart a second wind or be his downfall.

WICKET! Rinku 30 (c Rashid b Carse)

Rinku charges Carse, doesn't get enough of the shot and picks out a boundary-riding Rashid at third.

India 72-4 (Rinku 29, Dube 8) Over 10 (Rashid): 0, 1, 1, 0, 1, 0

Dube can't get Rashid away this over as England start to apply the squeeze, but do lose a review. At the halfwat stage of the innings, the toursists will be by far the happier of the sides.

WATCH: RASHID TAKES WICKET SECOND BALL

It's a day ending in a Y and Rashid is among the wickets.

India 69-4 (Rinku 27, Dube 7) Over 9 (Archer): 1lb, 0, 1lb, 1, 0, 0nb, 0

England bring Archer into the attack to tackle Dube and it works. Dube can't get the short stuff away, wears one on the shoulder and just four runs are scored.

India 65-4 (Rinku 25, Dube 7) Over 8 (Rashid): 4, W, 0, 1, 1, 6

One wicket from the over, but it could have been more. Dube is bamboozled by his first delivery and edges to Buttler at slip, who drops a tough chance diving to his left.
Dube soon makes England play and smahes the final ball high into the night sky, then the crowd.

WICKET! Abhishek 29 (c Bethell b Rashid)

Abhishek hits Rashid for a boundary first ball but then picks out Bethell off the next! A slog sweep off the bottom of the bat and Rashid does what he does.

India 53-3 (Abhishek 25, Rinku 25) Over 7 (Overton): 0, 1, 0, 1, 1, 4

Just three runs from Overton's first five balls, but Rinku finds the gap to close it with a well-placed cover drive, bringing up India's half-century.
Rashid is coming on next.

India 47-3 (Abhishek 24, Rinku 20) Over 6 (Mahmood): 0, 2, 1, 0, 6, 1

Mahmood stays on for the last over of the powerplay and keeps it tight, but leaks one six thanks to a remarkable Rinku shot. The batter rocks back, making a good-length ball seem a touch short, and flexibly dispacthes it over square leg.
England win that powerplay, you must say.

India 37-3 (Abhishek 21, Rinku 13) Over 5 (Carse): 1, 0, 4, 4, 0, 0

Carse comes into the attack, Rinku goes on the attack.
Rinku picks up a boundary via a top edge, then another with a slash to cow corner. Both shots coming after advancing down the track.

India 28-3 (Abhishek 20, Rinku 5) Over 4 (Mahmood): 0, 4, 0, 4, 1, 0

Abhishek crashes another cut to the boundary and follows it up with a lovely cover drive for the same result. Nine runs from Mahmood's second over.

A sensational start from Mahmood.

WICKET! Suryakumar 0 (c Carse b Mahmood)

A three-wicket maiden! Suryakumar clips Mahmood right to a min-on fielder in saving a single and England can barely believe it.

WICKET! Tilak 0 (c Archer b Mahmood)

Two in two balls! Tilak comes down the wicket first ball, attempts an ugly hoick across the line and edges to shirt third man, where Archer takes a really smart catch. What a start for Mahmood.

WICKET! Samson 1 (c Carse b Mahmood)

Mahmood strikes with his first ball! Bowled into the pitch, Samson pulls the ball right down the throat of Carse on the boundary, who takes a routine catch.

India 12-0 (Samson 1, Abhishek 10) Over 1 (Archer): 0, wd, 1, 0, 0, 6, 4

Abhishek carves the penultimate ball of the over up and over backward point for six, then mishits the next through mid-off for four. Two powerful, upright cuts ruin what otherwise would have been a good start for England.
A fine stop at point by Duckett saved three runs earlier, but there was nothing the fielders could do about those boundaries.

WATCH: COLDPLAY DEDICATE SONG TO BUMRAH

He may not be terrorising England's batters this series, but Jasprit Bumrah looms large in English minds.

TNT SPORTS EXPERTS EXCITed TO SEE SAQIB

Alastair Cook: "He made a brilliant comeback from injury in the West Indies, was by far England's best bowler on that white-ball tour. He moved the ball early on which is so crucial in the powerplay. Whether it was just those conditions or it is him in particular - he's a slightly different bowler because he is very skiddy. He's got good skills at the death so I actually think he will add to England's side.

Steven Finn: "Early wickets are the order of the day. Nine in four games he got in the Wesy Indies. It was great to see him after so long come back and bowl with confidence... We've been calling since the first game actuially for him to be playing in this team."

HERE ARE THE TEAMS

Two changes for England then and three for India. Shivam Dube for Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh replaces Mohammed Shami, who was never likely to play back-to-back games, and Rinku Singh takes Dhruv Jurel's spot.
India: Sunju Samson (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, SHivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakravarthy.
England: Phil Salt (wk), Ben Duckett, Jos Buttler (c), Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, acob Bethell, Jamie Overton, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood.

ENGLAND WIN THE TOSS AND WILL BOWL

Jos Buttler calls correctly for the first time this series and England will chase for the first time this season.
"A little bit unsure to be honest, on the pitch and whether the dew comes in," says Buttler. "It's a 50-50 call really on whether to bat or bowl first but we know we're up against a really good side.
England did not announce their team in advance, like they did for the first three matches, so Buttler also has team news to break. Saqib Mahmood and Jacob Bethell come in for Mark Wood and Jamie Smith.
