Virat Kohli was dismissed for a duck against Australia for the second One Day International in a row.
Trapped leg-before by series debutant Xavier Bartlett, Kohli completely botched his attempt to clip the ball off his pads.
The on-field umpire raised his finger immediately, and after a brief discussion with his partner, Kohli made his way back to the pavilion, while receiving a standing ovation from the Adelaide crowd.
Indeed, in the first ODI in Perth, Kohli was removed for a duck by Mitchell Starc after a mere eight balls.
"That is huge," TNT Sports’ Michael Hussey said.
"[Kohli] knew the plan would be wide of off-stumps, and Xavier Bartless has decided, ‘Okay’ maybe I’ll attack the stumps and deceive Virat Kohli. He’s going to go for his second duck in the series."

The series marks the first time in his ODI career that the 35-year-old has suffered a duck in consecutive innings while, as per ESPN, he becomes the active player with the most ducks in the format.
Before the series, Kohli was tied with colleagues Rohit Sharma, Litton Das, and Brendan Taylor, each having 17 ODI ducks.
Kohli’s departure saw India briefly stationed at 17 for 2. But they overcame the tricky opening, with India’s batters finding their feet through Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer, who both recorded 50s.
Though their middle order fell, Axar Patel counterattacked to a fast 44, while Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh added a late blitz to drive India to a respectable 264.
For Australia, Bartlett was the star of the show, claiming three wickets, while Mitchell Starc registered two scalps to restrict India’s total.
Australia are hosting India in a three-match ODI series as their huge summer of cricket ramps up, with the series set to be concluded in front of a sold-out Sydney Cricket Ground on October 25.
