India romped to a stunning seven-wicket win over Bangladesh on Tuesday, wrapping up a 2-0 series victory in record-breaking fashion.
The series threatened to end as a draw after more than two-and-a-half days of action in the second Test were called off due to heavy downfall in Kanpur, but India were undeterred by the unpredictable nature of the affair and put in an imperious batting display to put the result beyond doubt.
"Once we lost two and a half days, we wanted to get them out quickly on day four and see what we could do with the bat," India captain Rohit Sharma said.
"It was about how many overs we needed in the second innings, which meant we had to try and up the run rate, scoring as many [runs] as possible quickly.
"This pitch didn't have a lot for the bowlers. To make a game of it then was a superb effort from the bowlers. And the batters of course, they bought into the mindset of attacking and getting runs as quickly as possible."

According to the BBC, India set the record for the fastest team to reach 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 in a fourth day of action which ended with the hosts picking up 285-9 – declaring off 34.4 overs after Bangladesh posted 233 all out.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) added that India's phenomenal batting display saw the team post a new record with a run rate of 7.36 – beating the 6.80 posted by South Africa in 2005.
India's dominant showing on day four saw them declare with a first-innings lead of 52, and an equally imperious bowling performance on the final day saw them dismiss the hosts for 146 despite a decent start.
Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja put Bangladesh to the sword, each taking three wickets as the visitors were bowled out before lunch, putting victory firmly in sight for the home side.
Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam chalked up 55 with captain Najmul Hossain Shanto for the fourth wicket, but a respectable 91-3 soon plummeted to 94-7 after both fell in consecutive overs.
Mushfiqur Rahim added 37, but could not inspire Bangladesh to any sort of commanding lead as they were eventually bowled out for 146 – leaving a 95 chase standing between India and series victory.
While India lost Sharma and Shubman Gill early on to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the hosts still coasted to comfortable victory before tea – as Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was named player of the match, hit his second half-century of the match to inspire his side to emphatic victory in Kanpur.
The Test served as an impressive opener for Gautam Gambhir – his first since being appointed India's head coach as they rose to the top of the World Test Championship, surpassing Australia.
