England v Sri Lanka: One change to England XI as Olly Stone replaces injured Mark Wood for second Test at Lord's

England have made one change to their starting XI for the second Test against Sri Lanka, with seamer Olly Stone replacing the injured Mark Wood. England won the first Test by five wickets at Old Trafford and can claim a series victory with a triumph at Lord's, with the second of three Tests set to get underway on Thursday. Stone has not made a Test appearance in more than three years.

Olly Stone has been named in England’s side for the second Test against Sri Lanka at Lord’s.
Stone, a seamer for Nottinghamshire, comes in for Mark Wood who picked up a thigh injury during the opening Test at Old Trafford.
It is the only change to the England XI that secured a five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka, with Stone set to make his first Test outing since featuring in a defeat to New Zealand in June 2021 at Edgbaston.
He has taken 10 Test wickets in his career and will hope to add to that tally when the second of three Tests begins on Thursday.
Elsewhere, the line-up remains the same, which means Josh Hull and Jordan Cox miss out having been named in the initial 13-man squad.
Ben Duckett and Dan Lawrence will likely top the batting order once again, ahead of stand-in captain Ollie Pope, all three of whom will be looking to improve on their showing in Manchester.
Joe Root, Harry Brook and Jamie Smith all start again after their strong performances with the bat last time out.
Bowlers Chris Woakes, Gus Atkinson, Matthew Potts, Stone and Shoaib Bashir complete the XI.
A win would see England win the series ahead of the third and final Test, which is set for The Oval from September 6-10.
