As 2025 comes to an end, it's time to look back on a captivating 12 months of international
cricket on
TNT Sports.
From wild catches to breaking hoodoos, we've brought together six of the best moments seen on our channels this year - and it's now down to you to vote for your favourite.
Root breaks his hoodoo
Finally, he did it.
At the 30th attempt,
Joe Root scored a Test century in Australia, ending the debate about his position in the game as a true batting great, as well as
sparing everyone from a Matthew Hayden streak.
Root reached the milestone in his usual understated manner, and though it was in a losing cause - both in the
Brisbane Test itself and
the Ashes series overall - the delight on his face and that of his team-mates and fans was a joy to see.

Maxwell catch of the year?
Glenn Maxwell, aka "The Big Show",
well and truly lived up to his nickname during the Australia v South Africa T20I series.
During the first clash in Darwin, Ryan Rickelton walloped a huge hit out towards the leg-side boundary in the final over of South Africa's innings.
Somehow, Maxwell jumped, caught, and then released the ball in one movement, before stepping back inside the rope to complete the catch, leaving Mark Waugh on commentary to describe the sequence as "freakish".
"Only Maxwell can do it," added Mark Howard, quite rightly.

England finally win down under
The Ashes may be staying with Australia, but England managed to avoid Glenn McGrath's 5-0 prediction by
winning the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
Australia had clinched the series by winning the first three Tests, but victories down under have been extremely rare for England down the years, and this was their first in Tests since January 2011.
Seeds of promise for the return series in the summer of 2027? We will see.

Sensational Starc
It's been some 2025 for Mitchell Starc in Tests.
Just 11 Tests played, but an extraordinary 55 wickets taken at an average of 17.32, with three five-fors and one ten-for.
The Aussie quick made history during his annus mirabilis, recording the fastest five-wicket haul ever seen in Test cricket against the West Indies in July, in just 15 balls.
It was a display of ferocious fast bowling that
saw a 78-year-old record broken, set by Ernie Toshack all the way back in 1947.
Starc followed up those heroics by almost single-handedly leading the Australia bowling attack to their Ashes victory over England inside just 11 days of cricket.

Cleanest hit of the year - and fan failure
Dewald Brevis is known as "Baby AB" for a reason, given his penchant for huge hitting like South Africa legend AB de Villiers.
And he delivered one of the cleanest strikes seen all year during the third Australia v South Africa T20I, a "no-look" six that went like a rocket, straight as a die over the perimeter fence surrounding the Cazalys Stadium in Cairns.
But it was the
actions of a keen fan that also caught the eye.
In attempting to grab the ball, the man lost his bearings and smacked straight into a fence post, knocking him back onto the ground.
To his credit, he got straight up, mercifully with his health - but perhaps not his dignity - intact.

What on earth?
Ok, ok,
this moment can perhaps be filed more under the quirkiest rather than the best moments of the year.
But we are still totally baffled by what happened.
Not only did Corbin Bosch's delivery in the second Australia v South Africa T20I hit the stumps, but it also triggered the lights to go off, all without dislodging the bails.
In a game that is so often beautifully niche, this moment was right up there for us this year.
