Wales securing another medal in the ring in the men's 70kg. Thankfully, a dazed Thai is back on his feet after some medical treatment. Brutal hitting by the Welshman, who refuses to celebrate until he knows his opponent is okay.

Team England track cyclist Matthew Richardson has been ruled out of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games due to injury. Double Olympic silver medallist Richardson, who represented Australia until August 2024, was set to compete in several events at the Games.

Scotland’s Josh Kerr has said that he wants to ‘push the limits’ at the Commonwealth Games after breezing through the men’s mile heat. Kerr qualified for the final with a time of 3:58.57 as he won the first of two heats, and will now take his place in the final 12 as he bids for Commonwealth gold.

A statement from Team England has been released: "Unfortunately, due to an injury sustained in international racing earlier this week, Matt Richardson will no longer be able to compete for Team England at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
"We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the track soon.
"Harry Radford will now join the Team England cycling team. He will be competing in the men’s sprint events this week in his Commonwealth Games debut."
