Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk undisputed heavyweight boxing title clash agreed for Saudi Arabia

After months of negotiations, it appears that Tyson Fury will finally meet Oleksandr Usyk in the ring to decide the first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion, Fury still faces a fight with Francis Ngannou at Wembley on October 28, live on TNT Sports, but it seems certain that the Briton and the Ukrainian champion will meet in Saudi Arabia at the end of the year.

Fury admits losing to Ngannou would be 'like Man Utd losing 7-0 to Liverpool'

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have agreed to fight in an undisputed clash, according to the WBC champion’s UK promoters.
Queensberry Promotions wrote on their Twitter account: “The One! #FuryUsyk is signed, Undisputed.
"Coming soon to #RiyadhSeason #BigTime”.
Fury and Usyk had been in negotiations for much of 2023 as they were expected to settle the undisputed status, but talks broke up earlier in the year.
That led Usyk to face mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois in Poland last month, where he won a controversial match by stoppage in the ninth round.
Fury has not been in the ring since last December when he took on Derek Chisora in a trilogy rematch, and has since organised a clash with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou for October 28, to be shown live on TNT Sports pay-per-view.
Tyson Fury also tweeted an image confirming the deal.
Fury will not defend his WBC strap against the MMA fighter, so there is no risk of him losing the belt even in defeat.
It appears that the fight will go ahead in Saudi Arabia, which has hosted a number of big boxing events in recent years, including Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Usyk last August, and Joshua’s rematch with Andy Ruiz.
Usyk holds the WBA, WBO and IBF championship belts, and there is a possibility that the IBF could call for a mandatory fight with Filip Hrgovic in the coming months. The WBO will likely wait for that to be resolved before Zhilei Zhang - who beat Joe Joyce last weekend to retain the interim championship - is given the chance to fight for a title.
Fury and Usyk now have the chance to fight to become the first undisputed heavyweight since the four-belt (WBC, IBF, WBO and WBO) era was established.
