San Antonio Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama became the youngest player in NBA history to achieve a 20-point-20-rebound performance. The 19-year-old beat Dwight Howard’s record from 2005 by just four days. Despite Wembanyama’s impressive individual performance, the Spurs were defeated 121-112 by the Chicago Bulls. Elsewhere, Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Golden State Warriors in overtime.

Victor Wembanyama made history as the San Antonio Spurs hosted the Chicago Bulls at the Frost Bank Center in Texas.
Although his team suffered a 121-112 loss, Wembanyama became the youngest player in NBA history to achieve a 20-point, 20-rebound double-double.
He did so after posting 21 points and 20 rebounds against the Bulls aged 19 years and 38 days, also recording four assists and four blocks.
The previous record holder by four days was Dwight Howard, who managed the feat in 2005 with the Orlando Magic.
Wembanyama, who was picked first by the Spurs in the 2023 NBA Draft, also became the only player in history to tally at least 350 points, 50 assists, 50 blocks and 25 steals through the first 20 games of his career.
Despite his impressive individual performance, the Spurs lost their 16th game in a row. They had led at half-time, but were outscored in the third and fourth quarters by the Bulls.

"When our opponents are down at half, of course they're going to try and have a reaction, but we got to expect that every time," Wembanyama said after the match.
"Because our first half was pretty solid, especially defensively. And yeah, there's ups and downs during the game, but we got to get our downs less and less."
Elsewhere, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 38 points to help the Oklahoma City Thunder to an 138-136 overtime win against the Golden State Warriors.
In a dramatic ending to the match at the Paycom Center, the Thunder had a 10-point lead with two minutes of overtime to go. But Stephen Curry, who scored 10 of his 34 points in overtime, hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to two with less than 30 seconds on the clock.
The Warriors’ late comeback was cut out through Lu Dort's layup with 10 seconds left.
The Thunder have now won three of their last four matches, but it was a 10th defeat in 14 for the Warriors.
In other fixtures, Luka Doncic recorded 32 points, 10 assists and six rebounds as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 125-112, while Derrick White scored a season-high 30 points to help the Boston Celtics to a 133-123 victory over the New York Knicks.
